Yeah, and that's a shame. And btw gunfights suck ! For instance I need to shoot 4 times with a shotgun right in front of an enemy for him to die.
I'm waiting for mods to give it another chance.

leo nothing to do with what and how its more to do with aero tries but sometimes with nvidia drivers it doesnt pull it off... i mentioned the aero and classic thing earlier, each to theyre own, but heck everything is super duper for me.
And vista does not always disable aero even on its own when you go into full screen, seen that enough times playing games, even flightsimX had problems for a while. Tend to either a) set the exe to disable with compatability options, or just run in classic mode desktop..

Don't know what your system problems are, but here, both with my old 8800GTX and my current 4870x2, Aero shuts down automatically.

No there shouldn't be, like he said aero is disabled so it's like having a wallpaper, maybe you don't have much ram so by disabling it altogether you free up a little. |

I like it but I'm annoyed that I was right when I pegged the game as being shallow. I mean, I was expecting it to be shallow, but not THIS shallow.

Yep. It's so annoying. And you just can't drive through since they give chase. So it's drive, oooh checkpoint!, stop, clear checkpoint, drive, and repeat.
Also it's nothing like STALKER. I was expecting it to be STALKER in Africa but it's not remotely close.
Game is very shallow.

Early in my playing I drove up to several locations thinking everything was "cool." I stepped out of the vehicle seeing if someone around would give me a quest, only to be shot to shit. That is pretty much how the whole place is.
The missions are fun and whatnot, but they could use some more variance.
I would have liked the game to have some towns with everyday people in them; with no guards around. That way I could be a bad ass, drive up into the town, and massacre all the innocent people. Sadly, that seems to be missing.
All innocent people/quest givers are pretty much protected in interior areas, and everyone else is an enemy you must shoot.
It's a blast the first 5 to 10 hours, but the little annoyances really catch up to it.

Yeah, we should form a club of guys who walked up to some dudes in a checkpoint thinking they were neutral only to end up being shot to death.
Was it so hard to just make a STALKER in Africa?

I would've loved that too , they say it's a living breathing africa , instead it's a giant wasteland with just aggressive AI

yeah fucking console auto aim tirgger happy lamers ruin it for us
nonetheless it's still a very good and fun games , it just could've been better
bullshit is AI doesn't attack instantly they keep considering it or jammed for a second you'd think they're neutral , get out of the car BABABABABABAM

I can advise anyone who doesn't really like the game so far to get a boat or a car and just explore the area. Make sure you get to the desert, it looks amazing and has a great atmosphere.
