I see sorry, though Vista was the OS where the emulation had problems, kinda strange that XP would have such problems though but perhaps the drivers for TAGES work differently or something in the actual OS. (Quite a few differences between Vista and XP after all.)

| That's a relief. I just recently upgraded to SP3, hope SP2 caused the problem for others and not XP in general.

I bought it. It is a great game, but it does have some performance and game bugs. they will be fixed.
I fixed the performance by adding 2gb extra ram. Now i have 4gb total

The Terran plot is not completable in its current state. If you manage to get passed one bugged mission, you will be stopped a few missions later by another unbalanced bugged mission.
Granted, both of these bugs are pretty minor, and simple to fix, but they do prevent you from finishing the game unless you are extremely lucky or you build up a massive fleet before playing the campaign. Either way, the campaign is pretty short, and I wish they had focused more on the Terran plot, right when it starts getting good it ends.

Daemon Tools Pro 4.30.0303 Advanced-DARK0D3R seem to me will only work for the ones who didn't allready try out the trial.
One of the first steps is installing the trial and it seems to create a hardware hash of your pc and after it runs out you can't just install it again after a windows install - you might even have to change your hardware config (pull out ram, change graphics, networdcard and so on).
Any of you ran into these problems?

X:\Documents and Settings\XXX\Local Settings\Temp\nstF6.tmp
some remnants of DTPro ( 1 file cant be deleted, but can be renamed (and then you should be able to delete it after reboot)
the DT pro registry entry on the other hand doesn't contain any information that could possible block a install.

It could be stored on daemontools trial activation servers - but I don't know if that is the case. You have to activate the trial however in one of the first steps of installation.
