I just bought 25 verb 8x dvd-dls cos of all the releases...
All the UK sellers seem to have stopped selling 2.4x - have they stopped production of them? If so, are you guys burning these new 8x verbs at 8x?

I got 8x as well, i think verbatim stopped production of 2,4x, but i tried burning GOW2 on 4x and it gave unplayable disc, but then again i use a internal burner of my laptop, on 2,4x it works fine. Perhaps a pioneer would work on 4x or 8x.

gow2 has flashed console killer? |
more like your 360 would have died anyway, and a game like GOW2 that really pushes the hardware just finished it off. Have you had your 360 for awhile? I believe all Xenon revision 360s will RROD in time, with each new revision the failure rate drops dramatically. |
he was actually quoting me, I've had it since july last year its mmy second xbox, the first one got banned and replaced for free (thankyou GAME ) I'm just worried about if i send it in to ms, that theyll give me some stupid drive back. i would obviously flash ots original firmware back on it but would they still swap the drive? |
Usually they dont "fix" your RRODed motherboard. They just replace the entire motherboard which means replacing the DVD Drive as well. They won't just replace your DVD drive for no reason.
Sometimes youl notice when you send your console with a blue wifi and eject button on the motherboard, you might get it back with a black wifi and eject button. Thats the easiest way to tell if they replaced your motherboard or not. If they don't replace your motherboard, they will probably just replace the entire console (including outter case with new serial number).
And you dont need to flash it back to original firmware before sending because they cant check if the drive is flashed or not while your console is in RROD mode lol.

Did anyone else get a freeze / almighty stutter during the intro video? It didn't crash, just hung for like a few seconds... thought i was about to get a DDE but it carried on...
Some form of disk checking / protection maybe?

omg that worm level is soooo lame...
And what about that black guy... at one point I thought he would wip out his KFC bucket and ask me if I liked kool aid and melon. They could not make that guy more stereotypical....
But enjoying it really
one of the best games of 2008!
