I've got it sitting about 2 feet from me Very Happy I discovered the issues with it playing on XP are nothing with the OS but the gfx chip. I've got a dual core laptop but with a shitty intel GMA and the game installed and runs beautifully. haven't gotten around to playing it but weeee.

I'll stop the "lame" EA hate when they can actually do something decent with their money and stop milking shit or create something unique for once.

Very Happy wicked! Brings back some good memories.

Syndicate was the best, by SW was pretty decent too. I loved em both.
I hope they keep it close to the original. Like the view perspective and stuff. Maybe a mass effect type style would work, but i'd still like to see it kept as close to the original as possible. Dont dumb it down or anything for kids

lucky bastard. im jealous Sad Smile

I wonder if they still sell it at stores. And you know it'd be cheap as hell, like 9.99 or something. Hmm, maybe tomorrow i'll hit a few stores and see if i can find it.
Cause Im not going through all the boxes in my storage space to find a game...like i have tons of shit in tons of boxes and containers stacked on each other and all that kinda shit. way to lazy and im not even sure if id find it.
Next time i move, i think im gunna organize shit so i know whats in each box/container

Oh gee, great.

I’m looking forward to seeing EA’s vision of Syndicate. Naturally the psychoactive stimulants, persuadtron, snatching random civilians from the street and re-engineering them into cyborgs will have to go. Oh, and in today’s society a game simply can’t be indifferent anymore about civilian casualties. So naturally civilian deaths during a mission will result in a mission failure from now onwards.

Also, weren’t the cyborg protagonists in previous Syndicate games a bit bland and lifeless? We should really add some personality to them this time around. Some existential angst, witty humor and so forth. And we need to cater towards the minorities as well.

With those additions, we’ll surely make a worthy addition to the Syndicate series!

Now Playing: Hocico - Ladykiller (Don't rape the dead girl by Terminal Choice)

funny thing is I got it off ebay for the buy it now price of 00.00 lol. Free shipping too. And above all else, it was from fucking Greece. I emailed the guy and was like dude are you fucking serious? All he wanted was positive feedback, probably building up to do a scam but oh well, I got syndicate wars in the process which rocks.

should check on there and find it, plenty of copies floating around Very Happy

It's also considered "abandonware" and you can find it in quite a lot of places. Too bad HOTU has went....under....

Great, another thread for people to bitch about the potential failure of a game they have no obligation to buy. I'm sure all the nostalgic whiners will have fun with this.

Personally I think any remake is a good thing, especially when it has Starbreeze behind it.

I'll admit I knew nothing about starbreeze being on it when I posted it. The article I read, I forget where, made it seem like EA themselves were developing it and mentioned nothing about starbreeze. I really have no quarells with EA as a pub as long as they leave the devs the hell alone. I even (regrettably) bought hellgate london.

people have to make a difference between "developed by ..." and "published by...". Even a step further , this is the EA Partner label, which basicly means "you make your game, and if it passes our QA (rofl) you can use our publishing network.

EA has no affect on the game whatsoever.

The fuckers should just publish the game themselves, I don't know about ea partner but Mass Effect was published by ea and it's not even a game you own it's a fucking rental.

Of course this is only if you buy the game, true ownership only comes if you pirate the game, well I guess Ea is pirate friendly after all Laughing
