About potions it depends on your character. With my Shadow Warrior I never touched pots and walked around invincible with 2k health. With my Inquisitor I had a lot of trouble early on with using potions constantly but once my physical defense increased it became much better.


That's kinda your problem right there. If you really want to increase your attack, str isn't going to help that much. You need to pick a specific weapon type (ie. pole arm, sword, or dual wield, etc.. ) and use the weapon type you selected.

To give an example (approx because it's from my memory) - with my shadow warrior, I saved my weapon selection until lvl 18. Primarily because I did not know what type to pick. At that point my avg chance to hit a lvl 18 opponent was ~ 36%. I selected dual wield, slapped 2 unique swords on my dude, and I added 15 points into dual wield. My % to hit shot up over 60%.

What's unclear to me is that I appear to hit opponents 80+% of the time, not 60%.

The Shadow Warrior runs with his legs apart, sorta like he has a turd stuck to his butt hair and its logged into his crack making him run totally leg bent... Crappy anims ingame... Sad...

Also the Shadow Warrior sounds like the comedian Ive seen on TV once, also his taunts are so gay, sounds exactly like Postal 2 taunts... Also if hes "immortal" like he keeps on saying why does his HP go down... Retarded...

Anyone care to make a small tutorial on what I need to play this game? I'm seeing lots of releases and patches, some cracked some not. There's also some graphics patch that is 7GB? Thanks in advance!

well-

mount, install the warg release

patch to 1.10 UK

apply the 1.10.1 fix (uk again)

apply the cracked s2logic.dll for ver 1.10.1
once a day use the DeleteSecuromReg.exe to remove the trial for yet another day

enter and play- and use F9 go save often - when you find nice items and arts, this game is crash friendly Sad

the extra 7gb hold the extra large resolution textures, but in order to see a difference you must have the zoom all in.. - so basicly they are not needed...

Game itself is "only" two DVD discs ("only" because it's still 12.5 GB installed.) and there's a bonus DVD with the limited edition containing somewhat higher-resolution textures known as "Elite" quality but it's a 7GB dual-dvd.

Using the "Elite" textures can lead to crashes but there are workarounds on the official forums and so far I've had no issues with it after several hours of playing.

For the actual game there's a modified S2Logic.dll file that takes care of some (All?) custom triggers regarding the game going back to the main menu and when you hit level 13 (Some say there's a second trigger at level 26.)

There's also a modified paul.dll but I don't fully know if it's actually required as there's also a utility called "DeleteSecuROM" that will remove some info from the registry in order to reset a time limit (Limited to 24 hours of playtime otherwise.) but as the registry paths are a bit different on x64 systems it doesn't fully work on that platform.

Finally you really need the first patch as it'll take care of most issues, hotfix #1 mainly corrects connection issues with the game servers if you have a legal serial and play online so it's not actually required and hotfix #2 hasn't been cracked from what I know but there's a bit of stuttering with it related to the sound system.
(Some say disabling the "Object detection" setting in the sound menu works but it only made a small improvement, disabling sound altogether fixes it but isn't recommended so either wait for hotfix #3 or whatever the next patch will be called or accept a half-a-second delay or so when opening containers/doors and when picking up items/shopping and also when NPC's open doors - annoying but tolerable in my opinion and as I said hotfix #2 while it fixes a few problems isn't cracked yet so you need a valid serial for now if you plan to use it.)

Don't install the 2nd hotfix. I tried the workaround for making the elite textures not cause a crash but the game still does for me so I reverted back. Crying or Very sad

Sad to say the Inventory makes this game really crappy...
Should of stayed with the first Inventory...Sad... Models and such, the micro icons makes the Inventory really hard to see anything at all...

Even though the Inventory is a draw back its a alright game...

there isn't an offlicial guide. u have just to try with all workarounds on the way and have good luck or wait for a proper crack

i picked up sword lore and dual wield since i'm dual weilding swords duh.
but

Strange.

After patching the game to current, i am now experiencing crashes.

I used the UK patches. The website said the US patches were not yet available. Order my copy through Gogamer. Not real sure what the difference is (if there is one) between US version and UK. Also not real sure that i don't have the UK version. Anyone know how to tell?

Still love the game though. Addictive as hell.

ok So the copy I own is the UK edition, and when connecting to the online it connects to the euro servers. How in gods name do I choose the american servers, not a single person on the server I'm on is speaking english lol, it's all german

You'll need to wait for the North American release, then probably wait a while longer, they said that in the near future you'll be able to connect to any region.

just try if u find some servers or and a buddy list into LAN it work if not try to create a server. don't exist private servers for this so i doubt that u can play it around hamachi
