So... isn't anyone waiting for this game? From what i've seen, it looks like a kick-ass RPG... Should have been released in stores yesterday but haven't seen it on nforce yet... Sad

It's a RTS. It doesn't really bring anyting new to the genre, it's boring and generic.

it is a warcraft clone, right down to the races, but if it is as good as warcraft I wouldn't mind grabbing it...but I'm afraid no one does it like Blizzard

its a really good game, me and my friend really looked forward to it, but one thing totally ruins it for us, its too much minimanagement, you cant pump out many cheap units or few expensive units and win, you GOTTA use EVERY unit in the game while attacking, and honestly that sucks, i hate those kinda rts games.
Every time u play against the computer it attacks with pretty much every unit, and it is unstoppable unless you do the same thing, and that aint what i enjoy about rts's, what i enjoy are big battles that can be managed, and with +10 different unit types at once that aint fun for me Very Happy
Hail starcraft, die warcraft

I am also looking forward to it.

I don't mind if it's a clone, that just means it'll be good enough to play.

I'll play for the story and hopefully some good MP.

Don´t mind being it a clone as well, i played the SP and the MP and the game didn´t really hook me, like has been said it´s the same old same old, nothing new really, and that subteranian combat is nothing special to me. Game is boring to me.

Stop calling it a clone, you dimwitted fucks. It's an RTS... and well, if you consider this a clone, then every other RTS is a clone of some other clone of a clone of whatever the fuck the first RTS was. Besides that, think from the money point of view... the WarCraft series was (and still is) extremely popular (the WoW launch says it all) so why not try to cash in on something that's already well established. EA = corporate cash whores, for them money is everything. On top of the rumors that some old WC developers had a part in Exigo... hmm, maybe they knew what worked? Yeah.

Point is, so fucking what if it's a clone or not. Everything in gaming is a clone of one thing or another, so get over it. Stop touting the "it's a clone ewz0r!" line as if it actually makes it a bad game or something.

As for the micromanagement... where? Having to use MORE THAN ONE UNIT is micromanagement? OH MY GOD. Having a game balanced enough where all the units actually work well together and are useful instead of "zomg tank rush!!" is... bad? I played the SP demo, and.. it wasn't hard... nor was the "micromanagement" an issue, considering THERE IS NONE. Well unless of course you can only handle one unit type. Can you walk and chew gum at the same time? Didn't think so.

Now on to the real point. Will it be good? Yeah, it should be decent considering it's pretty generic nonetheless. The whole "underground" thing isn't new. Earth 2150 had it (though it was seldom used) ... only difference with Exigo is they force you to do stuff underground. Like many other RTS, (and being from EA) they know what works and has worked before, so they stuck to the same old style. You'll have to see for yourself. And since most of you fuckers will download the game... you have about zero right to bitch if it sucks. At least you didn't pay for it, right? (and no that's not anti-pirate, it's anti-whining-bitchyness).

Exactly, that's why i think the game is boring and mediocre.

On another note, you have a point, it's not really a clone, but the fact that it does look like WC3 and like LOTR in many ways does make it LOOK like a clone for some people. Doesn't matter to me though, gameplay is important for me and as i said, it doesn't really grab me.
