I so miss the old times - you only had 1 release to leech. that's it. today, it's a mess.

I guess all these awesome games that already came out lessened the impact of fable, because i actually got bored playing it and i only played for an hour. Controls feels pretty much the same, even the character animation looks very familiar. Combat so far is button mashing, and the enemies dont seem to attack me back, they just let me pound on them and thats it. In addition to your sword you have a gun which auto locks to a target, dont think you can manually aim.
Graphically it looks alright, a bit rough around the edges but some things are very pretty, others are not, like the first dog you meet looks pretty shitty imo.
Im pretty sure the game is going to open up more and become awesome, but somehow i have no urge to go play it more as i initially thought i would.
Edit: javlar im also playing on fairly old FW and it runs fine, not sure which i have but its one of the old ones.
Also a big fail imo is no option to save anywhere you want. I played for about half an hour and completed initial tutorial missions, got a cutscene and was a bit tired so i quit, to my surprise after i started playing again, i had to start from the very beginning. I hate games that do that since i dont always have a lot of time spend playing, id like to stop whenever i want or at least fairly spaced checkpoints.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

I've been playing the game for two maybe three hours, I like it. At first sight it seems to be a big game, certainly not as confined as Fable 1. Exploring is encouraged and rewarded with nice treasures. Combat seems to be simple, but there are moves you can buy. In the beginning you don't have any ofcourse (not even block). I only had one 'major' fight, the enemies seemed passive. But that area seemed to be a big tutorial really.
Spells seem to be great, I have only Force Push ( ) now atm. You can either just tap the B button or hold it and aim. Works very well and intuitive. Can't wait to have lightning and fireball.
The dog works, that thing can smell treasures and such. Handy. You can learn it tricks and upgrade it too, for better treasure searching abilities apparently.
The story didn't really take off yet, so I can't comment much on that. It is all a bit childish though, but that's Fable I guess. It seems a bit more mature than Fable 1.
To conclude, at first sight much better than Fable 1. I must admit I didn't do much yet, got to the first town and took a job as a Blacksmith. One funny thing, shops have sells and such, giving discounts (you can see "x days left"). And as far as I can tell, you can buy almost anything you see, should be fun. Though I haven't done much, I can see this'll be one of the best games on the Xbox to date. This plus Fallout and Farcry makes a brilliant month.

I think they're pretty good, not razorsharp though. It looks good enough for a game on the Xbox with alot of things going on onscreen. Pretty much what I expected, nowhere near Crysis or something in that category ofcourse. But that's understandable and logical ofcourse.

Oh what the flying fuck now.
I've managed to get four coasters... was the same thing with Fallout, got three coasters, i then changed to 1x burnspeed and it worked, now I've tried twice on 1x and twice on 2-2.4x but no luck, they've all failed on different percentages burned. I'm at a loss here, someone throw me some feedback or tips on what to do.
I never had any problems in the past, I updated to Vista some months ago, the first burn was flawless (NHL09) and then came Fallout and now Fable which both have been giving me trouble.
I'm using CloneCD 5.3.1.0
I'm getting tired of throwing away DVD's here

imgBurn FTW.
I always burn at MAX too. And as weird as it sounds I use HP media. Maybe they are rebranded verbs.

Cheers guys, I'll give imgburn a spin. If that fails i don't know what's up really, could it be a bad batch of discs? Sounds rather unlikely right?
And I hardly suspect it's my drive, since it's been working previously, burned 100+ games (for me and two friends) over the past years and up until now with Fallout and Fable the total amount of coasters were like 5 or something
Anyways, trying imgburn in a minute.

I think that's the chest for the pubgames thing. I'm not sure though, just a guess.

Well what the hell do you know. Imgburn did it at, pratically twice the speed of CloneCD and the disc works, fucking awesome
Thanks a bunch bill_the_one, fangster and Big_Gun for the recommendation.

It will work on all firmwares but only be safe for live on 1.4. Of course the stealth files etc cannot be confirmed at this point, so as always playing a new release on Live is a risk.
It's easy to fix for other firmwares though, just download abgx360, load the iso up in it, hit the 'autofix' tab and tick the 'angular alignment fix' (it's obvious which one) or whatever it's called, then hit the launch button and it will autofix. (don't touch any other options)
