I have the WARG release and so far (pre lvl 26) it's working good.

I have 3 questions if anyone could help with:

1) Does the current crack work with 2.10.1? Some people say it does and some people say it doesn't. I downloaded the 450mb patch and the hotfix, installed them and used the 2.10.1 s2logic.dll crack, but it didn't work for me. If I stay with 2.02 (unpatched), it works.
(I also tried the 2.10.1 ipaula crack)

2) Is there a crack for the lvl26 and beyond? (without hitting escape instantly and returning to menu and reloading) I have not hit this level yet.

3) More of a game question, when does it get challenging? I'm not too far in the game as I've tried playing a few different classes but so far, the game is ridiculously easy.

Thank you for your help. I have read through this thread, but I wasn't able to find a clear answer.

My guess is they took the logic dll and paul dll from other sources put it together and call it a "crack"

Are you sure you read it through? I found multiple comments in just last page that it works fine with updated logic, and using the delrom thing

I'm interested in that too. I played for 7 hours only, but I have no challenge at all at silver difficulty. I've read somewhere that the next patch might balance the issue. I just hope that in the meanwhile I won't lose interest in the game.

Try to change balance.txt from default to these values :
AllEnemy_lvl = {1,5,10,20,200},
Enemy_armor = {850,950,1050,1200,2800},
Enemy_weapondamage = {750,900,1150,1400,3700},
Enemy_spelldamage = {750,900,1150,1400,3700},

It makes the game little harder Smile

Did you copy both dll's from ipula to get 2.10.1 working?
The ipula nfo says to copy over both the s2logic.dll and paul.dll, but I'm currently using
s2logic.dll crack and unmodified (original) paul.dll (for 2.02).

Unless it's been fixed, I read that replacing the paul.dll caused problems.

Question: After updating and copying the s2logic.dl (leaving the paul dll alone)l, should use the DelROM.exe that comes with the warg release, or the DeleteSecuromReg.exe that comes with the updated s2logic.dll file?

The one with warg is 174k.
The one with one of the packs of the logic dll is 64k

I remember enjoying the first one, but this got me bored in two hours or less Sad. Nice graphics, but nothing else. The level scaling should be at least optional.What´s the point on leveling if the hole world around does it with you?. Plus silver diff is too easy...Where´s the challenge here?.

From what I've seen so far (3% of the map, 8 hours of gameplay Laughing ) I could as well have played hardcore with the same results. I hardly ever drink potions not to mention dying.

p.s. Just looked at sacred2 official forums, and some people there believe that there is gold and platinum difficulty settings which needs to be unlocked.

Yeah well I won't play this game long enough if you've gotta go through it 2 times to unlock what should be the default difficulty setting. The games a breeze and I hope it gets addressed. Im not interested in doing some personal difficulty balancing via .txt files, leave that to the devs. Laughing

Ive DL the WARG 3 times and still cant mount the crap...
There is only 2 large files MD0, and no MDS or anything else...

Any ideas ???

Gold and higher difficulty are part of your savegame and needs to be unlocked for each character as it has min-level requirements. (Comparing Balance.txt from the unpatched version Silver used to have a 25-level minimum restriction.)

Will see if it's possible to remove it entirely or if it's hardcoded, just be aware that they have a minimum level (Which is also quite high) for a reason, game is easy on Silver and pretty doable on Gold if you have a good character from your silver playtrough but platinum and NIOB (Highest in Sacred 1 - max level was 250 and it required level 200) will murder your character if you're unprepared or have a bad build.

(It's the LevelMinForDiff = {1,1,1,1,1}, string in Balance.txt - I already modified my own so that's why it looks like that.)

EDIT: Worked, but only for LAN play.
(The "LevelCapDiff =" alteration also worked so now max level is 999 which is never going to be achieved but you can level forever. )

EDIT: Level 100+ kobolds killed my character in one hit.

yes but i dont think it will fix any of the crashes or the fact that the game is crashing all teh time or just taking u back into the main menu im sure it has to do with the crack and not the game itself

of course i did i tried that and tried deleting it and running the game witthout it still same problems the game brings me back into main menu in the middle of the game many crashes while trying to enter the map and many freezes i will try this new hotfix but i still think it has something to do with the so called crack maybe i will go back to using the warg scene fix instead of the latest apula crack

dont touch paul.dll, only replace s2logic and use deletesecuromreg from seed4me release. it has been said 10 times already
there's a s2logic.dll for each game version, make sure to use the proper one Smile

i did as u said the problem is the game works for a few minutes but then just stops i mean the screen goes black but the sound is still working
i have no idea what can the problem
