Much better than the PC FIFA, but still not really much of an improvement on last years though. At least if they have all the editing options back in it will be a bit better on the consoles this time around.

Tried the demo now, but had to switch to using keyboard which really sucks. Overall it looks a pretty good game even though the feeling always stays the same. Playing this still reminds me of the SNES days actually. But that doesn't have to be a bad thing though, as I loved Konami football games on my SNES machine. Still pretty bad atmosphere though, which always bring PES down a notch for me. Graphics aren't really great, but my card isn't the best either so, yeah probably that's the reason. Would be easier for me to judge if I could use my pad though.
Which brings me to the question. Do I need a 360 pad for this to work properly? I have a pretty old one now but it has always worked well (a Logitech Rumblepad). I can go through the menus no problem, I can run and change player no problem. But whenever I get the ball the player just automaticly shoots the ball over the sidelines, always to the right side, nowhere else.
One thing I really like though is that you can lock onto one player, and the game won't change it automaticly like FIFA does, only when you want to. FIFA always frustrate me as it change to the player I don't want to change, which leaves me out of position. Even though I put the automatic player change to zero in the settings, it still does this. Another thing PES wins, as usuall, is that the game flows better in that the ref, for example, comes up to the player that has made a tackle and then we "zoom in" for the card to be shown. Always liked that as it makes it feel more flowing and random not having the same cutscenes played over and over again.

I'm less than impressed, seems like the same game as last year, some minor game play tweaks maybe, that's it.
Also it runs even more jerky than 2008 did on my PC.
Its a shame really, the fifa pc version is also crap, means the only option if you want to play a decent football game , is to buy a damn console.

Runs great and feels great. The pace is much but much slower, and the shoots are more realistic. Very few players can hit well with the leg that isn't their natural leg. Most of the player won't even try to hit it with the good leg. Things like that improves gameplay and feeling a lot.
The only problem I have with GFX is with the V-Sync. I have an Athlon 4.2GHZ Dual core (will be updating it soon) 2GB RAM, and Radeon HD4870 and the V-Sync just fucks the game up. I can't even play it.

I think the last years it hits the dutch game shops very early. Perhaps this year too. Official release date here in Germany is Thursday the 16th.

any chance the PS2 version will have the "fake" move or any other new moves besides just an updated squad list?
