I have been watching the debates.. and the campaigns etc.

HOW can 50% of the USA vote for mccain or even more scary palin.. as has been said "its like a disney movie"

Mccain is another bush.. a underachiever/fraud in every sense of the word...

Anyways I think Bill Maher on the daily show said it best

""There are two Americas, there's a progressive European America.....that a lot of us live in or would like to live in, and it's being strangled by the Sarah Palins of the world and can't quite be born because this other stupid redneck nation won't allow it."

Do you think thats a correct statement ????

very interesting pictures btw from ONLY 4 years ago.

election is a fraud, illusion that the people have a choice
it's already decided who's gonna be president.
and even if obama wins he's not gonna rejoice that chair for more than 2 months until his assassination, and guess who's gonna be in charge then.

This isn't 1968 you know but hey Biden would be way better option then Palin ><

I just can see headlines " ohhh crap, I just saw Putins plane flying over my house in ALASKA" made by Palin ;nuclear lunch detected

either way, we are screwed...it does not matter who wins...they wont be able to get US out of recession in four years..but at least obama will put money in education and mccain will just do a draft for every one under 25 to serve in iraq for 2 years..he is PoW after all

There is no chance of Obama as president. His policies do not coincide with the agenda at hand. There is no pulling out of the war for millions of reasons as we are there for the sake of the US dollar.

obviously you dont watch a)any of the debates or speeches b) news c)independent polls....he has never said he would simply leave iraq. he would put more pressure on the iraqi's to defend themselves as the US is in a record 10 trillion debate while Iraq enjoys something close to an 80 billion surplus. thats what he says, he wouldnt just leave iraq because it would be disaterous and for more reasons than the US dollar....seriously, watch the debates, speeches and political commentaries....

On a different note, i am watching the Countdown With Keith Olbermann. Its a show on MSNBC, obviously democratic and one sided, the opposite of Bill O'rielly. Anyway, i mention this because some political analyst fucked up major after last nites debate and effectively ended his career cause he was caught in a major lie/spin/whatever. i dunno, i didnt see the whole report on it. Anyway, I mention it cause Olbermann, who is a fuckin stick in the mud kinda guy, trying to be "hip" i guess says the analyst guy got "Powned" lol I dunno, made me laugh...its one thing to write 'pwned' its another to say 'powned'...just sounds retarded to me
Its like instead of laughing at something someone says to you (while speaking to one another) you say 'lol'...just ridiculuous.

Something I read in the newbie thread. I think Saint wrote it.

I used it because I think it is one of the most offensives things you can say to a woman. Except for ThunderGunt. ( gunt=nasty huge gut cunt) I made that one up. I hope someone throws a Haggis bomb on her

(I made up haggis bomb the other night while watching the movie "Hot fuzz".. I was cooking and stuck my head out as some sea mine went off in the movie and I heard a type of UK'ish accent and assumed they were Scottish. I asked if that was a Haggis bomb? The people I had over were almost crying, mostly because I was very serious when I asked. )

Google haggis if you don't know what it is.

of course i know what haggis is, no need to be condescending, geez. i wasnt making fun of you or anything, i just thought it was a funny term and wondered where you heard it from. I consider myself well versed when it comes to swearing, but i had never heard the term so I asked Smile

My stance on politics is this - every politician is a fucking liar and a cheat who in the long-run is only working to better his own self-interests rather than the country he is serving. The solution to this is simple - cut politicians' salaries drastically and outlaw lobbying. Get people in there who aren't in it for the money but who truly wish to make a difference. Until then, voters are stuck picking the lesser of two evils.

Speaking of voters - people who do not follow politics closely enough should NOT be allowed to vote. There needs to be a test administered before you are allowed to vote - nothing fancy but something that covers basic political structure in this country as well as a candidates stances/political history. Too many people vote simply on name recognition or party affiliation when in reality they don't know shit for shit about who they are voting for or why. This needs to stop.

I don't vote because I know I don't truly know enough about either candidate to make an INFORMED decision. This is called being socially fucking responsible. Rest of the country ought to try it.

My .02 cents Very Happy

Yes, I watched those pointless reality TV debates. Both candidates share a mirror image of eachothers views on Iraq. I'm refferring to Obama's DESIRE to pull out regardless of whether it's done one way or another. As you made clear he clouds his true intention with wordplay and that's what he does best.

America will not have a elected president who even thinks twice about not wanting to push the war.

Yeah I obviously don't watch speeches, news, or independent polls and you know better than to make judgement off of 2/3 of those sources. Laughing

Corporate media FTW as they are unbiased and truthfull in their representation of candidates. Rolling Eyes

You are living in fairy tale land. Laughing

Either way I'm not gonna argue about something that's not in our control. You are voting for a puppet/public image and nothing more. I would love if Obama took the seat because he's a awesome public speaker and a very likable person.

ok...what did i misread and what did i 'fabricate'? I explained myself and my position, please explain yours

and trust me, nothing anyone says to me on here offends me. well, hardly anything. what you said didnt offend me, its just a cliched arguement of someone who isnt informed but acts like he/she is and i found it funny so i thought i challenge it. and since you clearly have no response (which im sure you'll come up with one after reading this post) it just validates my point.

so indeed, i am having fun Smile

Seriously man, reading comprehension FTW. It's not the first time i've come across you misinterpret peoples posts, it's actually one of many. Secondly, I refuse to respond because Im terrified to type anything. Next thing you know you're gonna be telling me Im accusing you of invovlement with the KKK. Laughing

Anyway, anyone who uses media/independent polls as his basis for an argument loses all credibility to begin with. Laughing

Notice Im not even touching on the topic at hand. Forget, drop it. Oh the irony in you telling me Im uninformed, dig up some of your historical posts. Laughing

Relax man. You're 100% right and I agree with you in every aspect. I applaude and cannot congratulate you enough. Smile

The US has always been two countries since the time of the civil war. And it's mainly the 'southerners' who consider themselves a different people from the rest. They have a very distinct lifestyle which is very resistant to 'change'. Actually it has become quite fashionable to label that lifestyle as 'small town values'.

The divide becomes even more obvious if you consider the candidates independently. In any other country if a party had caused the kind of political and economic chaos as the republicans have, they would have lost the elections by a landslide. The fact that they are trailing by only a few points shows how committed their supporters are to resist change. And to be blunt, the fact that the democrats have a black candidate isn't helping either.

Obama on the other hand, wouldn't stand a chance if the the republicans had found a half-decent candidate. Unless he wins by a landslide (unlikely) his inexperience will become a factor and any 'change' he might want to bring will be stonewalled by craftier politicians. The fact that he has the support that he does has more to do with people who are underwhelmed by the republican party's chosen candidate. And I'm not referring to just the age here but to the perception among democrats that McCain is just more of the same. I mean is that the best the republicans can come up with?

wait, you cant say any of what you did as its obviously from the media....unless your like kamel who personally calls these guys and has the inside info....i mean, who uses the media Rolling Eyes Wink

anyway, i agree. the gop really fucked up with their choice. tho i think obama has the whole kennedy comparison going for him. no one thought kennedy would work out and he's generally accepted as one of the great modern age presidents. And if obama is telling the truth, he could do alot of good for not only the us but for alot of this world.
but at the same time, if the gop would have come out with a (lets face it) younger, non elitest rich cunt, the race would be alot closer

Sometimes good intentions alone are not enough. If Obama wins, (tainted must have just fainted Razz) he'll have his work cut out for him. He can't turn the economy around on his own. He can't just start pulling troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan. And even if has the will the reps will fight him every inch of the way trying to set him up for a fall. They might already be looking to the next elections or maybe even early elections.
