I think the problem is that it's not Ascaron doing the uploading, Ascaron have told the moderators on the Sacred 2 forum, that they can upload it when they get their own english version.
Ascaron is not going to do it.

Yes, I'm aware of that. I was more or less hoping that someone that has an English version would share it so people that bought a cd-key could play it in their own language.

I would be happy to, but I only have 12kb/s upload at home so it's pretty much useless for uploading.

And this is where Epsilon goes on to detail why he would never resort to such a common method of distributing files, ignoring its efficency entirely due to a high degree of "im better than that"-syndrome Razz
Ah yes, the quest for being "hardcore" instead of a "torrent kid" on the internets, a truly perilous journey, but for what purpose? Wink

So I guess it's just a matter of time, it seems no one that has the international edition is willing to share it. Even though it's not frowned upon, except maybe from cdvus =P

Here's to the waiting game, a boring and frustrating game until someone shares their international edition Razz Or until November 11th.

I just don't like having to wait years to get what I want Razz
I'm just not that patient. Furthermore I never claimed to be elite anything, I do 3d graphics coding professionally. I don't hang out on fxp/torrent boards and such while waiting for new releases to pre while my mother cooks me dinner.
I did once, but that was 9 years ago, back then I was as elite as the other kids. But I grew up and got a family and many jobs over the years Smile

I have a CD-Key, you can purchase a key for it, and region doesn't matter anymore it seems, after reading what some mods/devs have said on the official forums, for awhile they were looking for someone to share the english version. And just told people to go buy a key and install and play. But they have stopped asking for help or suggestions. I'm assuming CDVus didn't like the idea too much Razz

It's just as simple as someone sharing their english version, buying a CD-key online, installing with the key and playing all you want without restriction.

kk, good Very Happy
I just dont think 800kb/s is years Smile Considering my internet access doesnt go any higher, i'd say thats a pretty good speed =)
Its all about sources, but i wont argue with you that public p2p stuff sucks, such as tpb, dmoid etc. Ew ew ew..
But the torrent "system" itself, can be damn fast, the only downside is that it obviously depends 100% on the actual people using it. If everyone's a noob and leeches & moves away, the entire system fails. If everyone however actually shares their piece, download speeds skyrocket.

Thats the reason Blizzard decided to use torrents as their main way of delivering big patches Smile
Too bad their game was boring me to death Wink

Just a quick question to those of you that have had the game for a while now..
Can you change haircolor later on, at some vendor or something? I noticed that my first Seraphim had GREEN hair, then brown, then the standard blonde.

None of the other characters haircolor seemed to change, but in some screenies you can see a Seraphim and a High Elf with black hair O_o
I want! :$

I order a copy of the English International version, should have it within a week and a half. A hell of a lot better than waiting for it to hit stores here in Canada, with a Canadian holiday landing on the release date set for around here. And it probably saved me a couple bucks as well.

As for the hair color thing, I don't think there was anything like that in the English demo.

Yeah, the English version.

I ordered it from a Norwegian webshop (http://www.absoluttspill.no). They have 8 boxes left. They send cross-border.

Bought a key and activated the German/English (Epsilons little "patch") version just fine, just need to use the revoke tool and reinstall once the proper English version is out. Smile

Also got most of the bonus content aside from the 7GB "Elite" DVD due to it's size but it should be finished in a hour or so.
(Need to try the English demo voice files as well to get part of the game semi-translated, shouldn't be too hard to get it to work.)

Heh. About 60kb/sec. Would take over 24 hours just to upload it. On top of that, i need to make a clone. Something i have no idea how to do.

Game isn't exactly protected though (Disc checks and so on.), just that activation stuff or you'll be limited to a 24-hour trial/13th level character.

If someone uploads a clone we may get a scene release sooner.
