So what do you guys think about the different classes so far? Temple Guardian and whatever else you have tried, tried the Dryad yet?

Is the map of good quality or is it just bad paper?
Well I've only tried the Inquisitor, High Elf and Temple Guardian, concerning classes it always comes down to personal preference as they're mostly different in their playstyle.
For the Inquisitor I like that he can do close combat and magic kinda like the old Battlemage. But he does have some combat oriented skills as well that can be used in combos which is nice. He just walks around killing people and spurts lightning from his fingertips, he really feels "bad ass".
The Temple Guardian is kinda like the Inquisitor but he has his gun as well, this enables him to hold for instance an axe or hammer in his right hand, so if theres an enemy at distance you left click them and he will fire his gun at them until they get in close. Then if you continue to left click he will use his weapon in his right hand to trounce them with. Like the inquisitor he has some ranged skills concerning T-Energy which enables him to take people out at a distance like the Archimedes Ray.
Which is a weapon which deals a lot of damage but only to a single target so it should really only be used against bosses and enemies with a lot of health. If people get in close he has his flamer which deals damage in a wide arc. And of course his shield which comes in a version protecting only him and a small umbrella like version which I'd imagine would be good for co-op.
I've not really played the High Elf that much, but I can however say that it's nice she starts two completely different ways if she's either in light or dark campaign, in the dark campaign you start out with killing your fellow student at the mage school and your teacher...Now I'm the master!
She is probably "most" like the old battlemage in that she has all the spells he had like meteor shower, fireball etc.. the traditional magic stuff, but she also has the ability to summon a fire demon to her side, which is very handy as it gives defensive bonuses. She's also the only class I've played who has the concentration skill which is essential to focus on as a magic user at is makes the recharge time of combat skills lower depending on the skill of it.

High gloss poster paper, rather thin, wouldn't put it up on the wall. |
Meh, thats probably the only reason I would get the CE guess I'll just download the "elite" textures instead.

So, if I'm about to install the German version, should I get a German key or an international key? I thought the international version was the one giving everyone activation issues

Thanks epsilon, I haven't spent money on a game in a LONG time, and definitely don't want to waste it, or else I'll have even more of a reason to justify pirating.
So german release, british key, german patch, english text file?

Yes it will. Did you run Sacred 2 as administrator? Also, I activated mine before installing the patches.

When sacred tries to activate itself, it sends information to SecuROM. Do you have a firewall that might be blocking this?

nope, but it does fail while trying to activate, and attempts to go along with a manual activation which then lets me know that my key isn't german, and that securom is a pile of shit.

Just call your bank and tell them not to accept the trade.

yes i used the link. I don' t really mind paying for the key, as I'm assuming that there will be an international relase that I can download and use the key on. I just don't want to wait until the end of last month when it is released............oh wait, thats right they delayed it till .............oh thats right, no fucking release date.
Might I also add, that the global language file replacement from the english demo to the german full game works flawlessly

Friend of mine wrote them an email basically being pissed off not receiving any download email, they comforted him by saying he would get one "monday next week" because they were only just sorting out the en_GB download version.

quote from s2 forum
Hey guys, small update, I've been talking to a long time friend on a different forum whose in the same predicament as me w/ one slight advantage. He's fluent in French. Nexway has a website for game distribution calle http://game.nexway.fr (They used to be something called Telecharger, no idea what that translates to) Anyway, they're kind of a big deal in France and he contacted their customer service using the phone number over from that page and got a pretty comforting response. "We are aware of the mix up with the release dates and appologize, anyone ordering the Int. English version from our Deepsilver distribution will be receiving instructions to retrieve their download on Monday 10-6"
I don't know how legit the rep was being or if he was just blowing smoke to get the guy off the phone, but I trust the guy who called never let me down info wise in the 4-5 years i've interacted with him. So we'll see!

Well thats the same information from two different sources, my friend and his email correspondence and this french guy, finally, in conclusion, I'll say only this, "theres a high likelyhood of it being true".

I just realised that those using the demo global.res have a different exit screen than me with the legit version, with demo global.res it says "exit demo" or some such. So I post here a screenshot as proof.

I JUST noticed that on my version too.....but I didn't coorelate it with the fact that we are using the global text mod, but to the fact that we both had the demo installed prior.....hmmmm what do you think?
