No, it just changes the text (not the audio) from german to english.

They're the same, friend of mine got the german version and used his serial on my version and it worked without a problem. |
What servers are you limited to playing on? |
I'll post a screenshot in a moment of the server screen. Had to reinstall windows due to harddrive failure and thus sacred2 as well, luckily theres a handy revoke tool for the key  |

I would actually *gasp* not pirate this game (first game I haven't pirated since GTA:SA) and purchase it if.........
THERE WAS A FUCKING WEBSITE OFFERING ANY TYPE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE VERSION I could download from or order from, KNOWING that it would ship immediately or let me start downloading immediately.

Server list on open server, both german, italian and english in the list 
 
And closed server is described as "European" not German, English or Italian. My MoTD is however in English and not German or Italian.

There is something just not right about this game. I'm not sure if it's the odd field of view, even with the free roaming camera. It always feels cramped as if you have no idea what'a round you. Secondly the game has the least intuitive menus/interface on the planet.
Otherwise the game is really cool, like it overall. I just dislike the fact that there is no gender changing option with classes.

Yes both he and I can join what we want and see what we want, but the server list is long as hell. First theres German closed bronze and hardcore, then English ditto. We can however join either without problems. |

Use the english file from the english demo to convert text
Then set my time and date for X amount of years from now
Anything I'm missing here?

Apart from the fact that you'll never be able to get past level 13 within a reasonable amount of time due to the fact that protection kicks in and you only make 1 xp for everything in the game? |

Well... he could try getting to lvl 13 with every character class, thats quite a lot of gameplay hours ahahaha

Where can I get an english language version? Either hard copy or digital download, I don't care at this point.

Nono
you can get the downloaded version or serial atleast from the store that jbeckman linked earlier. Use that serial on the german leaked version and put the global.res from the english demo on top of it, once the english version comes out or gets released just revoke your serial using the revoke tool and install english version with your serial.
Yes the CE contains an additional DVD9 containing extra high res textures. Even higher than "Very High" in the normal version, Ascaron don't actually believe anyone will be able to run the game with those textures today.
Although the "Very High" setting looks pretty stunning as is   |

So download is almost complete, going to go ahead and purchase the key....
Does it matter what country I choose when purchasing the key? I mean, if i'm downloading the German version, I'm assuming I should purchase the German Key.

It's just a serial, doubt they'll use different ones for different regions and thus It shouldn't really matter, especially based on what Epsilon mentioned above but if you use a credit card I'd guess you'll need to be honest with your choices to avoid complications.
(No idea what they actually check though.)
