Maybe to you. To the rest of us it's not, if you have no interest in it why post in the thread? Does it make your balls feel bigger to post in a thread of a game you have no interest in that you have no interest in it? |
So wait, disliking the game means no interest? are you only interested in a game if you wanna lick the dev team's balls? get a grip man, and start working on some patience exercises, count gay sheep, just don't take it out on a guy who has a valid point. And to be on topic, how can you people play this series year after year? It just doesn't feel like a football game to me, PES feels much more responsive and authentic, just to name a few.

It's OK, it's late enough here, my point wasn't really to debate FIFA vs PES, just annoyed by the previous posts...the man has a point, all EA games are the same with an increased number every year...why go all "Shun the non believer!" on him?

If you knew anything about Fifa09 and the Fifa series' progression on next gen and knew anything about the absolute lack of progression in the PES serious since around PES05 you would know that what you just wrote is complete bollocks. To say that Fifa09 compared to Fifa08 is just a number increase is complete and utter idiocy, the only area of Fifa09 where that argument would perhaps hold weight is in the manager mode which has had little attention, gameplay has been massively improved and built on since Fifa08.As have other areas such as online and be a pro.

If you'd played Fifa08 on next gen, and played the Fifa09 demo on next gen, you can easily see in 10 seconds that the gameplay is massively improved in Fifa09.
Can't do the same action in every single match of PES? Oh perlease it's an utter arcade game, pass, pass, pass cutback goal, super dribble, super dribble cutback goal, you can do the same shit over and over and over because it's an unrealistic, arcade football game with unbalanced gameplay. At least in Fifa you have to build up play properly to create chances, you have to play the game as if it's real football, pass and move, create openings, play on the counter watch your players' runs, look for openings in your opponents defences. PES with it's arcade automatic passing, arcade dribbling system just means you can use a "super hero" like Cronaldo and dribble your way around everyone, or use a freight train like Adriano and bully your way around everyone, shooting from anywhere and getting it in target (yes Adriano has been toned down for PES09 but there are plenty of other similar unrealistic players).
PES is a retro game on next gen, it looks like it's still the exact same PS2 engine as previous incarnations with a slight bit of effort to make it look better, it has the same fucking awful old gen animations, it has the same current gen gameplay, same crappy ball physics, even Seabass himself finally admitted PES is not a simulation of football. PES was a great game in its day, but it's not 2005 now, time moves on, gaming platforms move on, I no more want to play a shallow arcade game like PES than I want to play something like SWOS or Kick off 2 or any other retro football game that once was great and now belongs in the archives of past football masters made obsolete by time and technology.

Hey leave kick off 2 out of this ..that was the ultimate football game and was my favorite game of all time as a boy...and the wind effects were something that Next Gen doesn't even come close too  ....beside that spot on about PES Ive owned them all and loved them all up until PES 2006 ...FIFA is the game to beat now..I think the only thing FIFA is missing is Mr Screech as a referee (Kick Off fans will know what I'm talking about)

Yes Kick Off2 was one of my all time football games, preferred it to SWOS as Kick Off 2 was less arcadey than SWOS.

i wish they'd bring back the old free kick system tho. the one where you placed a target anywhere on the ball to add curl and lift. it was quality.
i think they dropped it after 2003. pity
