i don't think it has to be supported
it's just a cache on a solid state device
you could probably hook it up on a camera memory card, if vista can detect one as such

It does have to be supported based on Read/Write speed.

There are a ton of sites listing supported drives.

Honestly if you have 2+ gigs of ram it really makes little difference performance wise.

well it's not for me i got 4 gigs ram, frankly i used it once with 2 gigs of ram and didn't noticed any difference
just friend was asking, he has only 512mb and asked if it will improve anything coz his vista running slow, i did adviced him to install xp, but he likes vista
upgrade for him wasn't an option atm, some old laptop

it will make a little difference with 512mb, but who tries to run vista on 512mb ???? get some more ram. 2 gig ddr2 is about £25 here
