I'm doing a mission where I use a VOB to close in on an AF. The problem is it's shooting at me and it kills me in like 5 shots -.- How the hell do you get past this?

Yeah, figured out you could quick boost in the VOB like 5 mins after I posted that. I feel a bit stupid now.
This game is fun though, really hard at times (White Glint -.- ).
Oh, and it doesn't really matter what kind of mech you have, you still won't take many shots from an AF.

The only mission I found really hard was the one you had to kill a NEXT lvl 1. Flying a around like a mofo and regaining heath really fast.

I'm trying to get a good blader build. Right now I'm using White Glint's frame. I have infinite OB, but my blade is kinda.. Really crappy. Should I continue using an energy blade or just get a regular blade?
Anyone else found the Unknown ORCA AFs really hard? Those blades just cut my mech apart. Those things can take a beating too.

THIS MISSION IS FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE. I'm doing this mission where I have to fight 4 NEXTs at once. I can barely take one down without getting fucked up.

You'll not believe it but I'm stuck in mission 1 !!!
After computer says I eliminated all bad boys, what should I do next ? How to continue to next party? I'm stuck in that fucking red rectangle.

After I killed all mechs I only see me surrounded by the red rectangle in radar. What else am I supposed to see and how to really finish the level?

Newbie Tip I picked up from some AC boards:
Switch from Simple control to Regular-B. Makes so much more sense to shoot and maneuver at the same time! Oh, Turn all the assists off too.
Fucking S-ranking every mission now.
Quote: | AC games always seem to rely a whole lot on statistics and tables and such, they don't make it particular easy for new players to get into this, do they? at least that's what my experience with armored core was up to now.
they throw you in: do that mission and then, do whatever you like, see? you got fifty billion thousand parts to buy and you can even tune your AC! hope you enjoy!
is there any noob guide in the internets somewhere? Wink
i suppose the manual would explain a lot... |
Manual doesn't explain shit. I tried looking for an AC wiki but nothing explains any of the stats. Like PA Rectification? WTF does that mean? Also, is 10k EN defense really that much better than 8k?
Oh well, the game is fun, and challenging. A nice combo if you ask me
=EDIT=
Heh, I'm a fag A google search answered the PA questions I had:
Quote: |
KP Output - How fast your PA recharges. Half a bar into this will recover it at a decent rate.
PA Rectification - How big your PA bar is, basically the HP of your PA
PA Durability - How strong your PA is, the Def. of your PA, keeps it up longer.
PA Effectiveness - Um, overall PA effectiveness, no real way to put it otherwise.

They could have thought of a better title for this game.
ASUS Maximus XII Formula | Core i9 10900k @ 5.2Ghz | 32GB G.Skill DDR4 4200Mhz | EVGA RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Hydro Copper | ASUS ROG PG35VQ
