OK...but I'm somehow "worried" about graphics. Do you think PC version will look better on LCD monitor?

ill pick pc over console graphics wise anyday..... depending if u have a good setup
although bia hh is using the unreal 3 engine, the graphics arent as good as they should be compared to gears of war and other unreal titles... but still enjoyble from what i hear. so as to how it looks your probs talking better anti aliasing for pc and no differances on any other format....

I think it's because the version of UE3 used here is rather old. This was supposed to be a launch title, then it became a second-wave game, then got pushed and pushed and pushed. So when you saw those shots in 2006, you were impressed, but now not that much. But still, gameplay is most important here, and it's not that bad, so the overall package is good.
If you look at another, more recent Gearbox project using the UE3 engine, Borderlands, it looks much better.

Usually threads of high profile games like this explode on release. This one is either so good nobody wants to stop playing to post or so bad nobody cares.
Please post something, I'm out of verbs and badly want to know if it's good.

Well as usual played for an hour to get an impression, and so far so good.
It seems a lot more casual gamer friendly. The usual staple of "regenerating health" is here, well kind of. If you are in the open and the Germans are not suppressed, your monitor will start turning red even without German fire, it shows that you are in danger. I died once while was running from cover to cover (fucking controller, hard to multitask with it unlike the keyboard), and i dont think i was even being shot at, but then when the whole screen turned dark red, one bullet (that i saw coming) killed me. Cover system is nice, but sometimes it makes encounters a bit too easy. It is not as responsive as in GOW or r6 though, sometimes i had trouble getting out of it, i think it'll be a lot easier with a keyboard and the mouse.
Guns are A LOT more accurate, at least from how i remember them being in original games. I was able to easily snipe Germans from a far using the German rifle (not sniper rifle) and i suck with the joystick. Im playing on Veteran btw (the hardest one available that is not locked) and the enemies are not really all that hard, They didnt try to flank us or anything, even those who had the red circles (unsuppressed) above them, they just sat patiently behind their cover until i flanked them. At least they do respond to you when you flank them (if they notice you). Also there was one encounter where you get unlimited ammo and German MG and tons of Germans coming at you, and they pretty much run straight into my bullets, and only sometimes took cover.
Graphically it is nothing to write home about, it is not crysis or even gow, but it looks alrightish. Though animation (especially of the faces) is kind of stiff. The levels look good, though so far they dont have a lot of freedom, there is usually a very obvious path for flanking that you can see from a quick scan. The friendly AI so far been satisfactory, they do what you told them, but i mostly used them as suppressors while i flank. You also get a flanking team, so you theoretically could play the game without actually shooting anything.
So far i would it give it 7-8/10, it seems a lot easier than previous games, but still fun.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

Krest, Have u considered a position at OXM. Reading your comments and the score seems just like reading a review in OXM. It highlights everything negative about the game and you are thinking, OK this is a mediocre game for sure...and bham, score 8/10. Seriously if I hadnt seen ur score and just looked at the comments, in my mind I would have given it 6-6.5 at the best.

After playing for a while, i have to agree with Krest, the game is a bit more friendly than the previous ones. I hate that they put the left trigger to position your man, im used to aim with it and always screw up things so i guess ill have to get used to it.
But i notice the usual "bug" that i encounter in all BiA games...where you shoot enemy point blank and he just down fall, its like my bullets are going around him. This is freakin annoying.

IGN
8.5 Presentation
The tale of Sgt. Baker and his squad is as good as many war movies, and is a great story for fans of the franchise and newcomers alike. This is a compelling story.
5.5 Graphics
Some visuals, like the particle effects and the slow motion kill shots look great. Unfortunately, much of the rest of the title looks shoddy.
8.0 Sound
The orchestral score swells at just the right moments to add gravity to the situation, and the dialogue is delivered well, although some comments are poorly timed in the heat of battle.
7.5 Gameplay
Commanding your troops are extremely easy to do, and for the most part, they do their job well. However, it's the moments when the AI on both sides break down that stand out like a sore thumb.
7.0 Lasting Appeal
With three difficulty levels, there's enough challenge for newcomers and vets, but the multiplayer won't keep your attention for long.
7.6
Good OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)

they really give the GFX a pounding. Flat 2D grass textures and a heavy handed grain filter dont sound good. Anyway, will find out soon enough

Well I'm gonna pop this one in in a bit, personally I'd be disappointed if it didn't live up to BIA standards, but then again it's a long way from the first...and 7.6 @ IGN? man I don't normally read their reviews (or any) but I'd think that's kind of a new low for the BIA series.
Blame! don't act!

Fuck the haters, this is great.
Even better than the first one imo. Id at least give it 8/10
You can blow off peoples limbs and see it in slow motions ^^
And its a tactical game, so it might seem boring for some people.
