Or you could just take any of the existing configs from Crysis like CUUDATS, HP or so and apply them in Warhead, works just fine but I recommend you alter the settings manually to find what works best, also Warhead is darker and more contrasted than Crysis with HDR/SSAO so tweaks to those settings might make the game very bright or very dark.

Psycho is supposed to be British? Sounds Australian to me.
Not a bad game, reminds me of 3d mark 2006.

i actually liked the story as its macho-esque minimalistic tone fit the shooting rather nice imho. What i didnt like is that it felt even more linear than crysis. In comparison to farcry thats the biggest let down technically. Still it was highly enjoyable and although the boss-fight was very reminiscent of the one in the original crysis i actually enjoyed it this time around.
not to mention the great visuals. Oops, now i did mention them

didn't find it short but rather reasonably short, I mean what else do you want? if it gets longer it's just gonna get repetitive and you'll get sick of it
what pleased me the most is music it fits perfectly and is just incredible , running on enthusiast 1280x1024 noAA and it looks gorgeous , besides it's 26 Euros so what the hell
it's pretty much crytek making it up for the lack of good multiplayer in the previous game
enjoyed every moment of it

I liked until the supersoldiers came along and it takes 60 shots to take em down on Delta.

yes you must use EMP grenades against those
one thing I've also noticed is that weapons are tweaked to be a bit realistic , unlike the first one normal korean trooper took 2 clips to take down , this time it's 3-4 bullets to take'em down , realistic and not frustrating

Wouldn't finish it anyways. Crysis turned shit at aliens this one probably does so too. Why do they need aliens?

Which version are you guys using? The CLONCD ENG-Chinese or the CLONEDVD-iMMXpC?
Many places say that the CLONEDVD-iMMXpC doesn't work with the crack (paul.dll).
Any truth to that?

I'll renew the question. Guys with 8800GT, what drivers do U use to run the game? Mine are 175.19 and I'm almost certainly sure that it's the reason why the game shutters sometimes.

Hmmm, since I run the game on XP I can't be possibly running it in DX10 mode, or am I unaware of something ? o.O

we both have the same card, yes there might be slow downs especially at the ice level
what resolution are you playing on?

Started with 1680x1050 and was having steady 25 fps until total rampage in the last village of first level started. Then I went down to 1280x1024 and gamer and the game is fairly smooth, for now, throughout second level when I have to follow the pilot.
However! When I was playing Warhead for the last time I was also running USD in the background cause I was downloading Supernatural 4x01. It might be a reason the game behaved this way, tho I've never had this kind of problems in any other game except Crysis... >.<.

The stuttering might be either your card running out of video memory or your actually running out of Ram. An example is if you are getting crazy stuttering on any of the chase levels, Car, Hovercraft, Train. Lots of big textures loading.

Running out of ram? o.O Whenever I alt-tab the game I see over 1gb of free memory (the game takes around 1gb in enthusiast somewhere in the middle of the level, and windows XP with lots of stuff around 800mb).
More likely video memory. But hey, don't 48xx also have 512 megs? And 256 bit controller? What's the difference? (ok, in case 4870 is GDDR5 I get it, but 4850 is still running on GDDR3)

also this warhead it's just like unreal engine , it loads the textures when u get close and shit , when u turn around the textures look like crap u must wait 203 secs for them to load

Yeah, but some people (like Bioshock staff) were able to make it look nice and run nice too. As far as I remember Bioshock is using the engine but mostly modified and I haven't experienced any texture clutches there, even tho it looks fantastic.

The memory bus of both 48*0 cards is 256 while they both have access to 512MB of GDDR3/5. The wider the bus the more bandwidth when speed is included.
I'm getting some stuttering to but I attribute that to some slow stuff in my system. I think my CPU is getting raped pretty hard causing a lot of the slow down/stuttering is when physics/AI come into play.
EDIT: I think that's because Bioshock is primarily small interior environments. Everyone is noticing in Warhead how often textures are streamed in and out of memory, well that's one of the little tweaks they made to improve performance because it wasn't as prevalant in the original Crysis. You can also tell they changed a lot of LOD stuff with shadows/objects/vegetation to improve performance.
Basically they saw what all the modified ini's accomplished and did the exact same thing with Warhead.

8800GT has also 256 bit and access to 512 DDR3, the same as 4850... I know the difference in PERFORMANCE and FPS lies in the GPU itself, but shuttering also happen when I have like 40 fps in overall, so it seems not much conncected to GPU's overall performance rate. At least IMHO.

In sys_spec_Texture.cfg change r_TexturesStreaming = 2 to r_TexturesStreaming = 0 and you will not see the textures loading ever again.
