I'm playing the game for the second time now and this time its as a peaceful creature/species/civilization whatever the hell you want to call it through the stages.

I am finding this to be fucking impossible to remain a pussy err i mean peaceful space empire. Right off the bat one of my closest neighbors whom was the third found decided to demand tribute of about a half of a million. Which of course at the start of the game I did not have. Seeing how they already started off orange faced to me and would attack me on sight this rushed them straight to red.

They ignored me for sometime and I decided to let them be as I could just bribe and do some missions later and then after use the trade exploit that I found (will give a spoiler about this at the end of my post) So then they started attacking my ally that was right next to me and I decided to go and fix my relations with them. Except by the time I made it to their planet my ship and one ally ship killed one of theirs enraging them to a point which I couldn't possibly fix now. Now they are constantly attacking my home planet keeping me from expanding and making funds that would go to them as bribes just so I could suck their intergalactic space cocks by doing missions for them. Just to make matters worse yet again I got another threat from another empire its only a matter of time they start attacking me too.

As for the exploit...

repairing isn't that hard.
You can use fireworks if you have them to shoot over their cities that makes them happy.
Also terraform one of their planets thats worth a lot. 1 Tscore is worth 33, that will degrade over time.
You can terraform even while they chase you. So you can fix anything with that.

FUCK SPORE AND IT'S LACK OF AUTOSAVE!

This game, for me, is one of those "Oh I'll just play some Spore before bed.....Holy Crap! It's 6am already!?!" and I was marathoning last night, to the point I had to restart the game because it was taking minutes to load planets. The galaxy I'm in had a couple hostile races, and I had allied 3 other races. For awhile I was fending off wave after wave of attack, when I finally got some decent firepower unlocked and went on the offensive. Killed off both hostile races, and the galaxy was finally "at peace", and went about terraforming my 15 or so colonies. I had about 7 mil in the bank and was actually winning when the fucking game locked up. Of course, last save was a loooong time ago, thanks to the shitty save system it uses.

I'm not sure I want to play anymore. It's odd, it never crashed once...but as soon as I buy the game and play it legally, it's fucking up. Serves me (w)right, i guess Sad Figure I'd share this as a warning: "SAVE OFTEN!"

It's the 21st century Will. Where's my fucking autosave? Sad

try the cracked version if it works faster/better
protected versions have always been, and will always be, less compatible and of (sometimes conciderably) lower performance

when i buy a game, i just shelf it without touching the already working installation on my HD, unless a cdkey is needed for online play

First patch: http://www.spore.com/patch

Quote:
The focus of this patch is to fix some bugs that have been reported and to respond to feedback we've been seeing from the community about tuning and stability. We managed to squeak in a few fun things too; there's a cool cheat that allows you to turn your creature into a blocky representation of themselves, a new "inspection" feature for the creature creator to browse the parts stats that you have applied to your creature, and the much-requested "evoadvantage" cheat - you'll now be able to start a new creature game with a more evolved creature of your choice!

To get the patch, launch the EA Download Manager to download and install it. If you didn't install the EADM when you installed Spore, you can get it from http://files.ea.com/downloads/eacore/eadm-installer.exe.

This is a PC only patch. Mac users should check back soon!
Features

* New Cheat: "evoadvantage". Enter this cheat when are starting a new Creature game to choose any creature from the Sporepedia. Start a new game with one of your more evolved creatures!
* Display part statistics when you are in Build mode. Rollover any part and hold down the 'i' key.
* New Cheat: "blocksmode". Turns creatures into their blocky representations.
* More style filters. Open the cheat window and type: "stylefilter -microscope" or "stylefilter -norainbows" or "stylefilter -nextgen" to see the new styles
* Added 70 new planet scripts with a low terraform score, especially of the "hot and high atmosphere" type

Graphics/Aesthetics

* Animation improvements
* Improved the planets fogging, blooming and lighting
* Fixed animation issues with tool handling, hand walking and some of the more oddly shaped creatures

Tuning

* Creature phase: Improved the pacing towards the end of the game, and increased the challenge in Normal and Hard modes.
* Tribe phase: Increased the challenge in Normal and Hard difficulty modes.
* Civilization phase: Increased the challenge in Normal and Hard difficulty modes.
* Space phase: Made Empires in Easy and Normal modes demand reasonable amounts of money in exchange for peace and adjust the level of punishment if the player doesn't pay
* Space phase: Made disasters less likely to occur in Easy and Normal modes and increased the time between each attack from the enemy empire when the player is at war.

Miscellaneous

* Creature phase: Improved the way posse members behave during threatening situations and fights.
* Space phase: Made finding your home world and colonies easier in the Galactic view.
* Tribe phase: Made it so that tribe members can travel on steep hills if they need to do so now, but their speed will be reduced a lot.
* Fixed an issue with attacks not working on some bigger animals and larger animals not dying correctly
* Fixed collect mission not completing correctly when all parts have been collected
* Fixed problems with the "Rolling Thunder" and "Déjà Vu" achievements not being awarded as they should
* Fixed floating parts not being deducted from the budget when loaded into creator
* Fixed an issue with the rotation rings not resizing correctly when a part was resized and improved their look
* Fixed an issue where the terraforming score of planet could differ when revisiting a solar system
* Fixed the keyboard controls for zoom & pitch in the Colony Planner not working properly
* Fixed a crash that could occur when watching an epic creature attack a city
* Fixed some issues where the game would freeze when using the Creature Tweaker tool or when capturing a planet in solar view
* Fixed an issue where not all tribe members would obey the raid order when a large group was ordered to raid
* Fixed an issue where banning a creation from one of your other saved games would black out the main menu

nice changes.. especially the easier galactic view navigation, less frequent disasters and the 'evoadvantage'

the thing that worries me is that i must install some EA download manager + the updated protection..

Well, props to them actually improving some stuff and adding others, rather than just fixing issues.

However, I thought many found Normal and Hard too difficult, and now I see that they've increased the challenge.

normal was not difficult in the slightest. I've played about 6 evolutions through to space stage on normal and can attest how ridiculously easy normal was.

creature - max out whatever you plan to be: green or red

tribal - ensure you have enough food before capturing a village so that you have enough food to "gift" the newly creatued tribes so you aren't immideatly attacked. Also, domesticate as many animals as you can. They help defend your village if it's under attack

civ - you have enough money to buy 2 extra land vehicles, use them to capture all the spice on your continent before a new city appears. Build an efficient first city, and build the max land vehicles (unless your eco) then capture any city that appears. If you're eco, have about 3 or 4 land vehicles per city trading. As eco you should not have any trouble with money, so spread the wealth. If a civ is getting hostile pay them 100k and keep em happy so you can open a trade route with them, that way you'll keep them happy, until you can buy them out. On normal, I could buy a city for about 16-32k. At that point I had about 400k. After 6 cities are yours, use your final ability to buy the rest.
As a military civ, get to planes asap, then delete all your land vehicles and rape the shit out of everyone with about 50 planes.
As religious, just build land and boat, lots of them and capture cities, replace any destroyed ones and keep up your barrage. Also, religious vehicles cause splash damage to enemies.
Don't forget your special attacks, they come in handy.

space - hardest of all stages until you get the mega laser and level 4/5 health/energy. They should have just called it the rape cannon. Once you get to a certain size, the attacks really die down, but as a new empire you really want to grow ASAP. Make allies early and quickly so you can later pay them to deal with your most hated enemies. Find profitable spice routes (buy/collect as much spice for anything under 4.5k, then find planets willing to buy for 20k+) I made about 6 mil in 30 minutes, but I got lucky having a purple spice planet, and a neighbour ally with a goldmine of yellow spice (45 spice every 10 minutes). Money makes the universe go round. Colonize and terraform, eventually you'll unlock perma-tool for atmosphere and heat/cold. By that point the game is on auto-pilot until Grox.

Anyway, lol that post was too long, but yah normal is too easy. I hope this patch makes it harder, but in reality, since you aren't penalized for dieing, the game is cake. With a patch out I doubt I'll be sleeping tonite Sad *sigh* work is gonna suck tomorrow.

Did you get full 102MB scene release with sfv or just 12MB repacked exe? We already established that 12MB only exe is fake, but original 102MB scene release might be ok.

Trend micro housecall shows it as no problems.
Why would the crack be 102 mb/22 files?
That seems rather excessive..
