Did you let the game install securom update? It is the most common thingy that makes the game unwilling to run.

Actually, you can switch it off as it's about to install, however if you never canceled anything than it is insalled. What specs?

Hi. Anyone else getting a clipping problem when they're at the airfield tower?
Last night the game froze when I was at the top of the tower and was working my way down. Now, when I load that game, I start at the top and fall all the way to the bottom repeatedly as soon as the action begins.
Now:
I can't walk up the stairs as I walk right through them, even when loading a previous save further back in the level.
Retail copy, btw.

DX9 and DX10 looks the same now, they didn't lock it like in the original.

In regard to those GPU benchmarks... Where has the opimalization gone to?
23 (twenty three) FPS on average on strongest GPUs availible? Is this a joke? Even more when I look at 8800GTS performing at the same level as 4850 o.O. Congratulations Crytek, you did your usual crap again...
Even more to laugh at; Where's the supported 'gamer' GPU - 9800GT? No need to test it and show how much it suck now when you probably sold some PCs with it onboard huh Crytek?

I got 23 fps on my 8800GTS on everything Enthusiast. Had more with custom config in original though. Guess they're using DX10 which they shouldn't since there's no difference?

Seems that more people have been experiencing the same problems I had with the texture streaming in this game; apparently, if you turn it off, the game will use more and more memory as you play until getting to a point where it slows down to a crawl and/or crashes.
So, instead of an optimization, as far as this case goes, it seems that Crytek had texture streaming working correctly in the original ( after the 1.1 patch if I remember ) and did something wrong with this one.
I'll wait for a patch ( if those get cracked, there is ) before starting this one again. If that's not the case, then I'll play through the original again ( and try out a few maps from the Intel contest, there seems to be some good stuff in there).

OK now, stupid question. Which of details settings enables streaming, and if not, which cfg should I edit and how to make it work?

Texture streaming?
R_TexturesStreaming=0/1/2
(1 enables it, 2 is enabled on V.High/Enthusiast and 0 disables it - Be aware that disabling streaming, while it will make distant textures look better, will seriously increase ram usage and can cause crashes if you have texture detail set to highest.)
EDIT: Oh and all commands from Crysis work in Warhead, hell Warhead includes most of the data from Crysis aside from Sounds.Pak and Music.pak.
(You can even copy the levels over and play them as well, some issues though such as terrain color and various scripts.)

You have to make a System.cfg in the game dir and something there to disable the texture streaming.
Edit: Nevermind

For people want try this : A tweak from crysis France.
( Google traduction no time to translate:p )
Warhead specially developed for this Tweak gives you all the effects of the Ultra version, with an SPF of crazy! Already familiar with the tweakManager Crysis, will make full advantage of Warhead. Far more beautiful than the "Gamer" mode performance and offers more intermediate (performance) or the same rate Fps (intermediate) More beautiful than the ultra, the "quality" is made for solid configs.
