Medium/high settings if you ask me. I was able to play first Crysis in 1280x1024 on high settings and was always getting somewhere around 30 fps. Shuttering occured too, but I got used to it. I have only 0.1 ghz faster GPU than U and 512 mb on GPU, but still I think Warhead will run just fine on gamer settings. Anyways, you won't know if U aren't giving a try Smile

same GPU as me , on DX10 it's gonna stutter a little
on DX9 at enthusiast runs very smoothly with no noticeable graphic difference compared to DX10

if you're using vista go to games right click on Crysis warhead and choose "playDX9"
there's absolutely no big difference between the two and it looks fantastic with enthusiast and runs very smoothly
if xp then it's dx9 only

So, I ran the game for 20-30 minutes. It runs fine on gamer settings, 1680x1050 and it IS playable on enthusiast the same res. Gamer has around 30-40 fps (occasionally some shuttering here and there), and enthusiast -10-15 fps...

And the screenshots:

You mean aside from the astounding drop in framerate, right? Crytek were too busy optimizing the DX9 part (in order to gain 2 more fps, wow... Rolling Eyes), they forgot the DX10.

I dunno if it's just me but Warhead doesn't have bin64 folder. Are there different DVDs for 32 and 64bit version of the game? Not that I care, game works fine here in 32bit, just curious.

theres no bin64 folder! only 32bit mode at the moment.
64bit must be updated via Patch ...patch comes later

Ok ifound out, i have to allow securom to do the activation thing, after that it worked. I´m telling you, strange things are going on, why does the warhead exe tries to communicate with explorer.exe ? After i denied it, warhead still works, then i´m asking you, why did it try to communicate with explorer.exe anyway ?

ps: sorry for my bad english Sad

Just installed it and got it running ( with the same ingame system options I had for Crysis ) and while at the starting area things were a bit choppy, performance seemed to get better as you were on your way through the rocks.

Did anyone thought of Farcry when the intro movie was playing? Razz
I thought Crytek would do everything using the engine just like in the original.

I could play Crysis on High... now i can only play on mainstream and that is horrible.
Everything pops up in front of me, the hills have eyes or at least they live as they morph all the time. During combat it runs at 30 fps max!

E6600, 2GB Ram, GF 8800 GTS 640MB. Are there any nvidia drivers that I should use?

Enthusiast shaders are just must have for me cos gamer shader feels a bit shallow when compared. I have shaders, textures, physics and sound on enthusiast, rest on gamer setting and it's playable for me. 8800gt, c2d E6420@3,2ghz, 4gb ram
