This may sound like a stupid question, so I apologise if it is, but is this going to see a "proper" release, or is the clone the only one that's going to be going around?

Cheers.

what do you mean with proper? this release is working correct. If you mean when the cracked version is comming then look here[/url]

Ok. Just that there's usually a "proper" cracked version, then the clone version as sort of an additional release. Also, the lack of support for this game online (support as in the amount of places where it is "available"), is quite suprising, as it's a fairly big release. Just makes me think that sceners might be waiting for something else to come out in regards to it.

I don't know much on it, it's all speculation Razz

Best RPG since Arcanum, perhaps even Fallout 2.

wtf? am i the only one thinking this game is bugged as hell?
1. strange "lagginess": keep moving after i stopped pressing move button, when i turn the movement is delayed...
2. serious fps drops...about 70fps usually, from time to time drops to 10fps
3. animations? e.g. the intro...wtf? this was a presentation of "out of sync" actions
4. why do i have my windows cursor in the menus?
etc..
etc...
etc....

my specs: p4 2.6ghz; 1gb ram; radeon9800pro 128mb; catalyst4.12beta; winxp sp2

edit: ok, i noticed i'm not the only one encountering bugs...

Well I have to admit it has its share of bugs...But the game is still quite playable and non the less really enjoyable...

We just need to wait for a patch...

Indeed Very Happy

Though heard that some people can't complete it because the bugs crash it...

Ohh and for the people with lag while playing try to go into your Vampire Folder usually: X:\Games\Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines
and find the Vampire.exe.. Create a shortcut and right click on your shortcut and find "Target".
Now enter with a space between from the " -mat_dxlevel80...
So it should look like this:
"X:\Games\Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines\Vampire.exe" -mat_dxlevel80

Hope this help Smile

About this damn politically correct censorship - I've read that there is a detailed decapitation scene missing in the beginning. Can't confirm that though.

I think it is censored, why did my screen just hang at the moment of the beheading in the very beginning of the game? I did hear the sound of splashing blood, but the big dude was just standing there with his sword thing.. afther the beheading the cut-scene went on... very strange...

edit: just read the former post Smile srry

I had that problem, like many others, but you can get past that with some console commands... it's stupid to need the console to actually finish the game, but it's better than nothing until a patch is released, I guess.

just finished the game and am utterly disappointed. Game lacks the epic feel of Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption. Towards the end, Bloodlines just becomes a hack fest.

You're not alone, the game itself wasn't tuned very well for these bugs... I guess its true that it was based on an earlier version of Source. All we can do is just wait for a patch. Pity too, the game is actually pretty good.

Anyone tried the Obit dvd-release, or so I read in isonews. This one is the US version so the Intro cut scene is uncensored and whatever was censored is now uncensored.

After Arcanum and Fallout this is not good, not good at all...

I think the fact that the folder is called 'licenced' is a bit of a clue as to whether they downloaded them or not.
