Because the retail game runs without the CD, so they don't see the need to host a crack simply for piracy.

anyone else got a problem when launching the game and after the 2 or 3 intro movies that the game stays stuck at the loading screen? with the thing spinning on the lower right corner that is.

really or are u joking? it bypasses the activation and is NOT simply a no dvd crack! wheres the link to piracy school?

yeah same for me pretty much, black screen after the intro movies. task manager still has it as running though. left it for 10 mins... nothing.

i found a fix for this:
when you start up the game and the loading screen is starting after the intro's alt+tab into windows, then open up your task manager and goto the processes tab, select alone.exe and choose high priority.
that should work!

Hey maybe someone can help me out
Im on the part where your in the taxi and you have to make it to a part. But it seems unless you drive completely perfectly, the breaking road ALWAYS ends up getting me.
Is there a fuckin trick to this. I played it atleast 30 times and the same fuckin result, i get swallowed up by the exploding concrete.
Games arent enoyable when you have to play someone 100 times to get through a section...like fuck, i wanna fight demons and shit...not drive around ins pos taxi that rarely reacts to the controls or commands I give to it.
its completely frustrating. So please, someone who has beatin this part, please help me

That part was extremely frustrating for me as well, you'll just have to keep trying and make sure to avoid hitting other objects such as cars and buildings, there's a checkpoint towards the end but you'll usually have to redo this section several times.

Agreed, I redid some sections multiple times for exactly the same reason.
(One of them being were the road in front of you cracks and rises a bit, causing your car to stop if you hit it plus multiple moving and stopped cars you'll need to avoid. - All in all I probably had to replay the section over 20 time at least, frustrating but I got trough it in the end.)
A few checkpoints would have been better, they were added to the new content in the PS3 edition (Which might get added to the other version via patching.) but in the PC/X360 version you'll need to go trough most of it in order to hit the one checkpoint place further towards the end.

as far as I know, the tdm release is a clone of the retail version so it should work fine throughout the game and till the end |
