One more thing, use that fix for levelchange bug in DaLexy's post. Works, tested by myself. |
is this a sollution for the Russian or English release ?

Where are we getting the English version (not a request, I mean in stores A B C etc, I will buy it ) I have three days off starting today and want in to the zone fest.

in download from steam or D2D (direct2drive) and then into store (play.com for example)

Hey Flowmo,
I live in USA (New York) not out here till 15th I think because of CD Key issues. I really wish I could play it because like I said I actually have some time on my hands and next week the hospital where I am the IT Director goes live with a new LIS so I will be pummeled to death with projects. bummer. I really enjoyed the first game and hope to get half the experience this time around.

Even within the US there are certain stores that have the game available despite the CD-key issue.

(Verified that it lacks cd-key so no multiplayer but you don't need to enter it during installation either.)

The latest patch fixes a lot i guess, haven't played it yet with the new patch cuz my copy didn't arrive by mail today... Fucking postal service... Anyway, I haven't heard that many complaints about the game yet since the latest patch. Seems like a lot of work has been put into stabilizing and debugging the game.

What/Who is MiSC? Never heard of them...is this US version or some other version from ANY other country besides US?

Install instructions:
1. Mount image and install
2. When asked, use SERIAL IN NFO
3. Install patch_1.5.3.exe
4. Install Patch.1.5.0.4.exe
Then, you'll have to do a few things. First of all, locate the installation folder,
it's somewhere on C:Program Files by default.
When you have found the correct folder, you'll have to create a directory called
gamedataconfigstextrus
Then copy all files from EnglishV1.50.00 to gamedataconfigstextrus
and then copy all files from EnglishV1.50.03 to gamedataconfigstextrus
OVERWRITING old files.
After that, copy Englishxenglish.db to GAMEDIRLocalization and move xrussian.db
somewhere else.
After that, go to PatchCrack and copy all files to GAMEDIRBin.
After that, go to Crack and copy protect.exe to GAMEDIRBin.

Looks that way according the the install directions..."replace xxxruss.xx with xxxenglish.xx
so still not the real thing, but probably pretty close I guess...

maybe they made an agreement to not crack it because gsc needs the money like people said the scene wouldn't crack alone in the dark because atari needed money........hohohohoho

The English version actually uses TAGES (With Solidhshield) which is a pretty though protection and can be further improved with triggers that could cause certain events to fail if cracked incorrectly. (Perry Rhodan for example and probably a few other titles.)
You can either verify the disc via normal means or by entering a activation code if you bought it online, pretty convenient and easy to use but I wouldn't say it's weaker than the Star-Force protection. (Which is actually just bypassed and not fully cracked.)
Unsure why no image or mini-image has been released though, TAGES should be fully emulatable via Daemon-Tools but I haven't tested this myself.

That's what I don't understand one of the 5 different clear sky images I dl's in the last week n a half was the english, german italian etc one and it doesn't work with daemon tools or daemon pro. Whoever released it, good job and all but why not clone it properly? Maybe Tages has found a defense eh.
