What's so "fucking" special is that .03 saves are not compatible with .04 and, consequently, with future patches.
If you feel like finishing the game on .03, that's your call.

think 1.5.03 is the latest patch for the english download and retail version

That's it? Incompatible saves? People are going batshit crazy over a patch which offers little more than compatibility with .02 and prior? :ROFL:
So let me get this straight. You're telling me that in their attempt to fix bugs, they released a patch which created a game-halting (or game-restarting, choose one) bug, and you trust that no additional bugs have been created in the process?
Nice. Yeah, I'll finish the game on .03... if the game doesn't take a shit in the process, that is.

I'm glad this is released before i got my copy. It's going to be delivered tomorrow by mail, so i can install this right away and hope it's not as buggy as the RUS release.

wtf!! with 1.504 i get setup has detected version [digital distrubution] installed.
this patch can only be installed on version [world wide].
what kinde of freaking bull is that?

How come just about every games developer apart from the makers of stalker, can make patches for games, that DONT need you to restart the game from the start, i mean WTF-is it too much to ask for them to take the time to give a shit about people not wanting to play the game for umpteen hours, then patch to fix fucked quests and have to play the game again from the start i can rem they pulled this shit with the original game...one thing i would like to say to them.... fuck the god rays just make the thing playable after patching without starting from the start, and while they are at it, sort out the bleeding stuff, get shot once and bleed to death in a matter of seconds without any sorta visual or gameplay indicators, like blurring vision, falling over etc...

since there is an digital distrubution of the game to? you can buy that from for instance dlgamers.com or what ever the adress was. its a cuple of pages back in the thread, thats where i bought it from.
and about the restarting the game i dont mind that at all. sure i know what will happen in the main story. but i can always choose a diffrent faction. and all the random events are still random =)

Works fine on XP but in vista X64 the protect.exe just hangs and eats up cpu then gives a "unhandled exception in the host library" error.

the 1.5.04 it's for the international EFIGS just like the 1.01? i thinked that it's was only for russian. read bug reports

Just click on the link, there are 2 version - download and Retail.
STKCS_v1.5.04_tol-pack-efigs-patch-any-4.exe (download)
STKCS_v1.5.04_for-pack-efigs-patch-any-4.exe (retail)
Both are EFIGS.
I have the English version, and i'm gonna test it and let you know if the patch works

Yup, this is indeed English (EFIGS) patch.
I have successfully installed on my English release of the game.
Game is now patched to 1.5.04, and also TAGES/Solidshield drivers are updated.
