Can't wait to start playing Sacrifice again. I'm hoping the MP scene is revived at least a little bit because of GoG.

Actually I'd love a proper remake with dark humor and the semi-serious tone of the first one. The second one was OK too, but nothing like the first one.

Website is really nice. Looks good, but I haven't bought anything yet though. Prices seem reasonable considering you signed up to pay for old games (which you could easily pirate for free). Gah... so many games that are tempting lol... maybe the prices aren't reasonable Very Happy

it's better than pirating, as many old games have trouble with new computers, and these have been fixed to work with xp/vista, AND they don't have any copy protection that you would have to crack either
i hope they do one of the thief games
such a hack to get them to work proper these days
*hugs his oldskool sized thief retail box*

I wonder how they 'fixed' it did they just buy the rights to dosbox or something more original, "Conquest of the new world" not that shit is OLD 1996 I think, I remember playing that but never really liked it, obviously this won't work perfectly on xp or vista without some intervention.

Unsure what they did for each title but based on the forums for the Fallout serie you can use various mods and utilities to further enhance the games.
(Resolution hacks, unofficial patches, savegame utilities and more are fully compatible.)

Anyone know what they've changed to quarantee full compatibility in Vista (XP has no problems atm with most of the titles in JBeckman's post) - and will these new versions work with mods?

Each game sports full compatibility with Windows XP and Vista, and does not require any sort of online activation. To eliminate compatibility issues, the team has source code access to most games and will be creating custom installers for each title.

They said they have the source code and they will be making custom installers.

I'll break it down for you :
1) they have the source code
2) they'll make custom installers

they'll need source to compile them without copy protection
not that using cracked .exes was a problem, as ubisoft demonstrated
any adventure games will probably use scummvm, as do many disc rereleases
