This is what happens when i try to start a new game and it loads, it just crashes before the game starts.
Any body think they can help?
I have the whole error log file and there are more things than that in there.

@Pey : I suppose you already tried to open your user.ltx located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-STCS\ and map the keys manually ?

well i bought it from dlgamers.com now to. great speed from that site 3x1.5mb/s.
seems relayble. only thing im a bit concerend about is the patching. but guess we just have to wait and see.

Not good. Seems like the most experienced SoC modders won't bother with Clear Sky:

Also, SRP Team fell apart, they won't even finish the SRP0.3 for SOC, they trashed out that.
And as far as I know, russo's last mod will be the ABC1.2 for SOC, then he'll abandon this game. Well, he said this in the OL-DE forum.
Dezodor is still working on the new levels mod for SOC and he'll continue it, that's far away from release. Also, I won't make mods for CS, nor porting OL to CS, I don't feel motivation to do that.
So I'm not sure who will make big global mods or compilations for Clear Sky, but don't expect as serious as modding activity what we had at SOC game.

There will probably be others to fill in the void, but I don't like this one bit.
No one can blame them for having to put up/fix the shit that GSC leaves behind.

Yea I don't know what to think of the game so far... Maybe I'm too old for this shit, but I feel I've had a similar -if not better- experience with Stalker SOC & Oblivion Lost, the new CS doesn't bring much more, except a couple of fancy DirectX effects. (and new bugs)
And quickloading is a pain in the arse, you cannot quickload once dead. They shouldn't be called 'Quickload' since they take 2mn to complete... I'm in the swamp right now, following the arrow on the map and constantly dying because of radioactivity (so it seems I'm not even sure but my energy bar slowly gets shorter)... and constantly QUICKLOADING.
I really hope Kanyhalos will change his mind in the future but I can totally understand his feelings about gsc. A « mod » is supposed to enhance the experience, not fix bugs from an unfinished product.
PS: still havent found a way to display fps on screen :/ (edit : yea I know of fraps but I was expecting an in-game console command, thanks anyway).

can anybody help me with sync out of range problem? i dont know what to do. i`m using PL version, game starts and after that monitor is out of range. user.ltx file is set to 800x600 with 85hz...what should i do?....please

There's not much to alter the refresh rate but try these commands.
rs_v_sync - Set to "off" instead of "on" should disable VSync and use your monitors refresh rate or what you've set via NVIDIA's/ATI's control panel instead of the games.
rs_refresh_60hz - Also set to "off" if enabled as this will force 60hz refresh rate.
(Unsure if forcing 60hz would actually solve the issue instead but in general it should be disabled.)

hrm my game is patched to 1.5.1 or so. and when i select search for updates it doesnt find any? shouldnt it find 1.5.4?
also. i just crashed, and tried to submit the bug. but it said cannot connect to server? =/

I don't know, I really don't see this game even *needing* so much modding as the previous one did. Let's face it, they've already included alot of the stuff that the mods added, which was mostly just things the developers didn't have time to include in SoC in the first place. So when this game gets most of the bugs sorted out, which it eventually will given that the developers are devoted to fixing bugs, then the only problems left are performance-based ones(which might also get fixed/partially-fixed with patches).
But yeah, it's a pretty similar experience to modded SoC, so it really isn't all that much new stuff, but which sequels now a days aren't extremely similar to the first one anyway? Less bugs, higher fps and faster loading would be all I'd need to be nicely satisfied with this game, and the game has still only been out for a couple of weeks.

Well, my game has come to a crashing halt... if you'll pardon the pun.
I officially can't take a step in my newest Quicksave, because the moment it loads and begins showing me the updated faction shit, it freezes and crashes to the desktop.
Deepsilver/GSC are going to fix this or I'm done with Clear Sky. I was going to buy the English version when it came out, but this is making me change my mind.
For fuck's sake. And I had an UBER game, too...
PS. If anyone cares, my main task is now to see "Fang" at the Garbage, though I'm currently in the Cordon on my way back to the Garbage after selling a few things to the Stalkers in the neutral base. I have the .03 patch.

Agreed. Most mods for SoC mainly restored what was left behind by GSC, none of them did anything extraordinary which is understandable seeing that they never released an SDK. That isn't the case with CS, what ever they intended to implement has been implemented, the only problem is the bugs which is being fixed, so I'm not really worried anymore. The reason we won't see many mods for CS is that there's no way to make them, no leftovers, no SDK and things like that, not that Kany and others decided not to. Besides, he's a huge douche (regardless of his scripting skills which I respect) and is under the impression that if its not OL, its not Stalker.

Pey, have you modified the FSGame.ltx file?
Reason I ask is because there's a few pre-modified versions and they can mess with one of the lines inside that file.
try changing the app_data_root value to the following.
$app_data_root$ = true| true| X:\X\X\Profiles where X:\ is the drive the game is installed on X\ being the folder it's installed to and X\Profiles being the game directory and a new "profiles" directory.
Then copy User.ltx there and confirm that the control section is allright.

Yes it has multiplayer but you need a serial number (CD-key.) in order to play on normal servers, unsure about Hamachi but it probably works.
MP is the same as in Stalker with only minor changes plus the inclusion of the BattlEye anti-cheat system. (Added to Shadow of Chernobyl, the first Stalker game, in patch 1.0006.)
There's a few new interesting maps and the new anomalies could be fun in MP games but other than that most things are the same.

No its suppose to work with savegame ( i mean savegame you made already with 1.5.0.4 but with travel bug) . its work here. maybe you forget something..
Mm , dont forget that : -Delete this file : gamedata\scripts\bind_level_changer.scrip
And that : put xr_effects.script (xr_effect2.rar) on gamedata\scripts\
