hrm, maybe i'll try it. but then again, i wont have it until tonight. and since work starts tomorrow. and ends on friday i wont be able to play. so might as well buy it from a store instead.

hmm i got the german uncut version of stalker CS... but since there is no crack yet it does not work. However you can copy the xgerman.db from it to the russian release. However the guys still speak russian...

How to run CS in dx10? Got Vista and I have few option off in video
Moreover, did you notice that on dx9 lightning distance is very short? Sometimes I see that a new shadow shows up in front of me in ~5m

by choosing Enhanced Full Dynamic Lighting (DX10) in the settings ..

take a look @ the user.ltx in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-STCS to modify these settings.

thx, I run it with dx10 but I dont know what to modify, even on dx10 lightining changes right in front of me :/

i've ordered the game instead. to bad there isnt an CE to order. atleast i didnt find any.

There's a EU CE a Polish CE and a Russian CE, EU version only includes a map of the area with a making of DVD and soundtrack altough the case is made of metal instead of plastic.
Polish and Russian CE includes all sorts of things and there isn't a US CE.

Since I allready have bought ther original STALKER I decided to download the sequel from the french site DLgamer.com.
Im currently downloading it now, its 3 files. Im downloading 3 at the same time and speed is 1500kb/s per file. When downloading one it was 1800.
I will update on how it is to install etc...
EDIT: You get one serial for game and one for Multiplayer.
I hope the multiplayer will be awesome and some good mods will be made

I wonder how patches are handled, there is a patch for DL versions but it seems to be D2D only. (Fileplanet system.)

Anyone know how to display fps in-game ?
(Without using Fraps of course)
Also the sound of weapons is rather weak imo in this prequel, I wonder if sound mods from Stalker SOC could be applied to CS ?

You can't actually, there's no proper crack for patch 1.5.0.4.
(There are a few workarounds but nothing that is verified to be 100% working without mixing 1.5.0.3 files with 1.5.0.4 files.)

How to Work with 1.5.0.4 : ( i mix step i found on asf forum and it's work > i mean , you can travel Zone to zone , and i dont see bug for the moment)
No crack inside ! So i post my file
-Install Game.
-Install Patch : 1.5.0.4
-Take all file here : i made proper package : http://rapidshare.com/files/143353140/SCSpatch.rar.html
> ( bin.rar / unpacker.rar & xr_effects2.rar )
-Extract bin.rar on Stalker\bin and replace file.
-Copy all file on unpacker.rar on : x:\...\StalkerCS\
patches\
-Use prompt command (on patches folder ): converter.exe -unpack -xdb xpatch_04.db
-Rename xpatch_04.. folder on gamedata
-Copy gamedata folder on Stalker root folder
-Delete this file : gamedata \ scripts \ bind_level_changer.script
-Extract xr-effects2.rar (gamedata\scripts\)
-Edit fsgame.ltx and modifie value $game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\ to > $game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\
I FORGET THAT : when its done DELETE xpatch_04.db on `\patchs folder
-(!) On last DT version > mount SCS iso and on the same time launch game with SCS shortcut.(during the dt mouting msg < very important or fail)

ps: if you don't have DT msg on mount , mount another iso before ( because some people have a realy fast mount and no msg from dt)
(!) repeat this step all the time you want play

Thanks Teniak, will try it out. I assume this works with the 1.5.0.4 actual cracked files too, so you don't have to use the image trick?
