Any word on the bug that keeps adding more and more ammo into those chests in camps? |
I don't see how that's a bug, since stalkers and group members would (logically) be storing ammunition and supplies inside of those chests for everyone's benefit. It's not their fault the place gets taken over, only to be used by another group... seemsayin? Or am I missing something?

Yeah, the protect.dll trick doesn't work anymore. Which might mean we should just download the english version instead, since cracking the new SF might take quite a while. Which means I'll have to start the game all over again to play with the newest patch. Bah.

It's fixed.
Basically chests kept resupplying the ammuniton until the game crashes with a sort of overflow error.
(You could find several hundred rounds for tons of different ammo types.)

I read on a russian forum that supposedly you could get most of the fixes from the latest patch to work in the previous patch by simply making a copy of the xpatch_04.db file( which is placed in the Patches directory after installing the latest patch) and reinstalling the game and patching it only with the first patch, then placing that file into the Patches directory again. Obviously any fixes exclusive to the game executable won't be included though, only the fixes for map scripts and such( some of which are causing a few of the crashes, I believe? ).
