I dont think that's what it means. I think it means not to register or anything. if you're not playing with an account, it has no reason to look online.

Just played for a few hours. Really cool game so far. Pretty surprised and well worth the purchase.

It may be a bit early to say this, but for a God gamer like me, this may very well be the best single player game I've played since Black and White. This goes right in my list of favourite God games ever, perhaps even at the top. Above Black and White, Populous and the original SimCity.

I wasn't that interested in this game until I saw this post. Can't wait!

When you order from D2D do they send you a receipt with your cdkey immediately? If so, can you use that key to create and register an account with the RLD edition?

Okay here is my thoughts so far after bout .. geez.. 5 hours non stop playing.

- Cell Phaze.. awesome.. great.. cool
- Creature stage.... very good to...
- Tribal stage... average.. shallow as... feels like your just passing time to get to the next stage.
- Civilization stage... good too.. however its more of a custimization stage than a strat game (its SIMPLISTIC as real time strat... nothing more nothing less

Im still in the civ game.. but thats just my 2 cents so far.

overall the games great.. the thing bout this game is

CUSTOMIZATION CUSTOMISATION CUSTOMIZATION..

you can design everything.. i mean.. its very much like the sims.. but instead of spending hours building houses.. you can spend hours making ... well you can make houses.. and factories.. etc etc.

I will be interested to see how it goes over the civ stage.. from reading the help stuff in the game it looks like something to very much look forward to.

anyways off to pick the misses up from work.... interesting to see how someone who is a very casual gamer thinks of it.

Overall the games exactly what i expected so far.. and as i said.. i look forward to the space game and beyond.

Ps the evolution timeline thing in this game is so fucking good

From what I've read the space stage is the most surprising of the lot, in that it's much deeper than people were expecting.

Unimpressed.

Little fish eat bigger fish - done in countless flash games spanning 10 years back.
Bit too cartoony and lighthearted for my tastes.

Also, a shoreline is considered land close to water right? Someone might wanna let those guys at Maxis know, because the second I take a tiptoe step on land a magical fish springs through the land and eats my poor little creature.

Where I stopped on my first (and only for now) run was at the stage right after the water. I impressed 10 species with singing, but then I couldn't impress anymore, not with singing, not with dancing, not with anything. I couldn't even impress my own kind of species. Laughing I have to try it when I'm not high from not sleeping.

PostPosted: Wed, 3rd Sep 2008 09:11    Post subject: Sorry but spore is boring :
Its nice but so many stages so many stuff to type and create and edit .
And then swim and eat fishes just to grow up .
Nice but nothing that i never seen before .

I prefer to play Murder in the abbey or perry rhodan adventure games then a small creature that eat fishes .

Also the technical problems of the game .
First game ever you need to change your desktop resolution to get higher resolution option in graphics settings in the game . WHY ?!

Nice game but nothing new .
And the graphics remind me more older games not 2008 games .

my geforce 8800gtx 768mb and 4gb of ram dosent need spore Smile

Nice game but sorry not for me .

I've reached the Space Age. I've been playing it for about 5 hours now, following the tutorial and going through the motions. Honestly, I really don't understand the big deal about this game. It's not innovate or even that great. It tries to be many games at the same time and ends up being mediocre as a whole.

Gameplay wise, it just goes from a mini-game to an RTS and finally to an SC 3 clone (That would be Star Control, not Supreme Commander)

Though I agree with the post above, the majority of the "gameplay" is spent custom designing units, buildings and your species appearance. If that's your sort of thing, then your gonna love this puppy. For me however, I was looking for some beefier gameplay and sadly, the game is just too simplistic, in any stage, to be of much fun or long term replayability.

I have that distinct feeling that this game is gonna end up like the Sims.

Anyone figured out how to become allies with tribes?

I try using the social interaction and then they want to perform some song together, which i can't because there are no buttons to control it, despite it saying there is.
