I think in feb/march 2005. I am looking forward to ATI's multi-card solution where you can take ANY TWO CARDS and link them together. It makes more sense, because you can upgrade and still use your older generation card. Hope it works!

Price is okay, I payed
600 euro for my Voodoo5 5500
500 euro for my Geforce 3 ti500
500 euro for my Radeon 9700 Pro
500 euro for my Pentium 4 3ghz
So money ain't to much of a issue as long as it's good :d

HAH She'll be 24 in early December. She's an english major and she writes a lot of short stories (stuff that I think would make a movie akin to Saw). She got me introduced to Terry Goodkind, and I'm hooked. Sword of Truth kicks ass.
Anyhow, to keep this on topic, ummmm.. yah, this new rendering stuff looks nice!

what makes you know that? The tech demo simply makes use of more complex shaders that are easily being rendered by current hardware. I've heard this demo was presented on an X800 Pro and it ran quite fluently. So, 6800s and X800s are far from out of date. The X850 series is nothing but a higher clocked refreshment of current X800, they don't even introduce any new features beside the multi rendering (and the behemoth cooler on the top models).

X800 XTPE's are £300 quid + and thats for a no-name brand. "90 £'s is a decent price to pay for that "new" card. |

all new gfx cards are good !
the difference are about 5 fps or a little more its sooooo stupid !!!
so u buy ati card
doom 3 sucks a little, cause optimized 4 geforce
buy geforce
source engine sucks a little, cause optimized 4 ATI
they should stop that crap !!
geforce and ati should go together !!
and i hate these fanboys who say" every ATI card sucks or every nvidia card sucks !!!!

This is just brilliant. I watched the movie and it's wonderful.
Farcry was awesome graphically but this far exceeds it and anything that we have ever seen and this with an engine that has been out for some time now.
The cryengine is one badass engine, that's for sure.
