Kill Switch - 5.5/10 - not bad for a seagal movie, nice gore like this teeth scene at 2:20:

Very Happy

The Mummy : Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - 6.5/10 - what a fuck fest, cgi sucks, only the action is nice Smile

Walk Hard - 8/10
Excellent movie with lots of suprises. Great sense of humour.

The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - 5/10
This movie had nice special effects and could have been quite good if it wasnt for the fact that the dialogs felt rushed and uninspired. Atleast some of the cgi anyway.

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Hell Ride - 6.5/10

It was nice to look at, but pretty thin storyline and a bit too chopped up for it's own good.

The Twilight Samurai (Tasogare Seibei) 6/10

I was fooled by the 8.2/10 (6165 votes) in IMDB Evil or Very Mad
It sure isn´t worth of that score!

X-Files 2 - 4/10 - Alot of potential getting waste here... Lame storyline, bad acting from both David Duchovney & Gillian Anderson. But then again Its Chris Carter's fault.

Pretty good movie, you guys should check it out if you like Jason Statham.

Well, that seals the deal for me then. I can't stand the guy.
Dunno why.
I liked Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. But that's about it. Haven't cared for anything els he has been in that I remember seeing. Especially Dungeon Siege.

Snatch? Mean Machine? (which imo is better than The Longest Yard from both 1974 and 2005).
I kind of also enjoyed Crank despite its silly story.

Then again - we've all got different taste (only - mine is better than yours Wink)

whoa Mean Machine is just so awful it can't be described in words. Besides he has a non-talking small role in that film.

I like him in Lock, stock and snatch myself. He excells in cockney crime comedies, imo.

And everybody will look shite in an Uwe Boll film Very Happy

No. I have a 12 year old that insisted on watching it. . . so I did. unfortunately. Actually, we got a little past the part where Burt Reynolds made his appearance, and we didn't watch it much beyond that.
Wasn't like I paid for it.I just downloaded it for him.

OldBoy:
Had never heard of this movie till someone in this thread mentioned it.
Watched it last night and was thoroughly entertained. 8/10
Anyone have suggestions of similar movies? I already saw Ichi The Killer a long time ago.

I didn't like Crank at all.
Didn't see Mean Machine. But, I will watch it. That wasn't a lead role though.

Oldboy is the 2nd film from a vengeance trilogy.

The first one is Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0310775/

And the last one is Sympathy for Lady Vengeance:

Wall-E 9/10 - Loved every minute of it. Usual Pixar quality!
X-Files I Want to Believe 6/10 - Nothing new or impressive. Expected more..
The Fall 8/10 - Visually very beautiful movie.
Generation Kill [HBO´s mini-serie] 8/10 - Not comparable to Band of Brothers, but worth checking out anyway

The Order (aka Sin Eater)
with Heath Ledger, Mark Addy and Shannyn Sossamon (all of whom played in A Knight's Tale ^^)
imdb tells me it's from 2003 but seriously, i've never heard of it before...
whatever. really cool movie.
all paranormal and shit combined with priests who don't really act like priests? instant win in my book and then it had heath ledger and shannyn sossamon (who's just like damn HOT)
so, i give it a straight 9 outta 10 - could have been better in some places, felt a bit 'unfiinished' like they left out pieces of the story but i'd watch it again Smile

Thanks for that info. I couldn't find them via downloading, but Netflix has every freaking thing pretty much.

I also got The Story Of Ricky. Never seen that one. Looks like some crazy shit.

i love this thread. Definitely keeps my weekends and downtime interesting. Lots of great movies here that I have never heard of and probably wouldn't have heard of had it not been for this thread. Thanks to all that contribute.

How are those two movies related to Oldboy? Do the stories stand on their own or are they related?
