Dunia is based on the original CryEngine
just like the Half-Life engine is based on the original Quake engine
But yeah I guess they simply owned it and didn't have to actually buy it.

But it's CryEngine1 not 2 which is Crysis engine.

BASED on CryEngine. It uses, apparently, less than 4% of the total CryEngine code. DUNIA is the actual game engine it's being powered by.

I dont believe this. I would say around 70%-80%. They added per pixel lighting, fire fx, weather on top.

This is Ubisoft. Why would they need to lie? They own the rights to the original Cryengine .. so if they wanted to use it, they'd just say "we're using the Cryengine"
I think you need to stop wearing that tinfoil hat.

Well, I only went with what the official page said, and it say that the engine was developed by Ubisoft Montreal. Thanks for the plus info.

yes and official release date is oct. 23. for EMEA countries (Europe, Middle East and Africa)...well yours says oct. 24. I only found oct. 23 in the forums etc.
but hey...oct. 21 for USA sounds good too

if the lags weren't from the low quality of the video then that's REALLY bad...
I really hope the crash was random and not happening reguraly

i already saw many many videos with the pc VERSION, and almost all of them , the game crashes....
i dont like this at all, hope they are playing a beta version...
