@ OchoBits

u are enough retarded or stupid. was sufficient to see on google that Spore is reported from the pre-reviewers like a massive singleplayer online game and not like a massive multiplayer offline game

a massive multiplayer offline is just BCR where u can play in coop offline with 2 without internet on a pc

So, I'm retarded because I used the wrong word on the definition? Oh my... We don't know yet if the game allows offline play yet. And you know what? I'm sick of this OT bullshit, I'm out of here.

Spore is ONLY a single-player game - and yes, it's an offline one too. The only online components are for uploading and downloading creatures/planets/galaxies from the Sporepedia.

anyway internet is not required to play. just you need an internet connection to upload your creatures to sporepedia and change them with how u want. likewise you can only get imported content when connected to the internet. If you still have dial-up when you get the game, you could connect to their servers and download (and upload) creatures and stuff while you do something else. If you don't connect at all ever, your game will get boring quick. But you don't have to be connected the whole time you play.

report this from here http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/25411/t1187965-play-spore-offline/#3

My only point was that this will in no way resemble a game like say, Warhammer.

The original post you replied to stated they were holding off getting Warhammer. You then said this game would be like an MMO anyway (I figured in comparison to Warhammer) and no it won't. That's all.

You see other peoples creations, but you never interact with the other players. Its more like having constant downloadable content than it being an MMORPG. It has absolutely nothing in common with a freaking MMORPG.

@ Big_Gun

no warhammer online is a MMORPG where u have to pay to play and it required a monthly fee to play. spore u don't have to pay nothing to play anyway. it's a MSOG massive singleplayer online game with an online connection required to connect at the Maxis's servers to upload and download creature or stuff alltime and to not get boring soon

It is.. in a way. You get to download other peoples creations and planets, and then fight with those downloads. You just can't interact with other PEOPLE.

Well, to me, that sounds more like player created downloadable content. . . and just trying to add a fancy twist by saying it is some sort of offline MMO. Oblivion has downloadable player content as well... I guess I will start calling it a Singleplayer offline MMORPG.

I know how spore and warhammer work. thanks. I just fail to see any relation at all.

If the game will be like they've been teiling us for a year now or whatever you will NOT see PLAYERs walking around! Which is why internet is NOT a must for this game to work.
So... seriously, what are you, boundle and dickybob26, talking about?!

Jeeeez. You never see another player FFS. You download creatures that populate your world and other worlds. Thats it. These creatures are then controlled by your computer. Not another player. You just have to be connected to the internet to DOWNLOAD them. They are automatically streamed to your computer when it is connected. Once you have some downloaded, whatever you downloaded will be there I would imagine if you are connected or not. You never see another player moving anything.

Nobody, other than clueless idiots, ever called the game an MMO...

What are you blathering about? You DON'T see other players moving about, you see other CREATURES moving about. If you download a player-created world, the AI controls the creatures.

So... you download whole worlds? I thought the game just downloaded creatures and buildings but the computer kinda generated the worlds and stuff.
Bah who the hell cares. All I know is that you never see another player it is just downloaded content. Those other twits are giving me a headache. Laughing

Since it is just downloaded content though, and the files are tiny like they say (1kb), I would imagine some group releasing a ton of that stuff as it gets downloaded.
