|
 |
Ive been using a Vista x64 OEM release for the past 6 months, and its always worked great!
However, suddenly, its asking for activation and notifying me of possible counterfeit software! Is there a smart way of bypassing this, or do I have to download a new OEM release?
Cheers!
Could somone give me a Product ID for one of the newer x64 OEM releases?
Cheers!

I'm assuming you use a cracked release? Is it EXACTLY 6 months ago? Cuz there might be a limit to the amount of time the cracked thing worked, or M$ actually figured out to root out the illegal copies.
Edit: You could just download a newer eth0 release yourself, serials are included in the nfo of those releases.

All ive found from eth0 are XP releases..? And now, its not 6 months ago, its aprox 3 weeks.
Trying to get VistaLoader 3.0.0.1 to work, but it just makes me have to do a fixboot / fixmbr to boot up again. :/

My bad, Vista groups are BIE and Xiso. Get one of their latest SP1 august releases and you're fine.

Yeah I figured that, but re-installation of Vista would be bad timing for me atm, so I am looking for a fix

There are lots of vista cracks out there, but honestly, I think your best bet is to do a reinstall.

Tried version 2.0, 3.0 and 3.0.1 of the Vista Loader, none of them worked. It still asked for activation, even after several reboots. So, guess reinstallation is the only option unless someone has a bright idea?

Just installed 2.1.2 loader and Vista says its activated (installed the x64 SP1 June OEM version 2 months ago so had already done 2 rearms.)
Hope it stays "activated"

I've had the same thing happen to me today, but with XP Pro Student version.
Has anyone else had the same?
