Thing is that normally you can't tell how good a PES game is until you have played it. However, i do have to say that last years effort, although was still enjoyable to me, was kind of a let down. Hopefully this year they can pull something out of the bag.

yeah i want good gameplay. The graphics could be better, but it's not that important. Good animations and stuff matters more to me.

If you've seen any gameplay vids you'd know that the overall animations are exactly the same as those of 2008.

FIFA (not the PC version) trumps PES in every possible aspect this year.

LOGiX: i loved EA's Fifa and other series 10 years ago but now they just rehash the same old crap for us PC-users. So don't tell me Fifa will be better than PES, remember that this is the PC-forum not XBOX360 or PS3..

But also remember this year they are using the next gen engine for the PC version so this year will be different for PC users.

Edit: for FIFA i meant.

So to clarify, is Pro Evo still going to be a rehashed PS2 version on the PC, whilst FIFA are using their next-gen engine?

It will be something inbetween. They said they have improved the PC graphics but it wont be the "next-gen" engine Im afraid.

In FIFA 09 PC, players and grass are "next gen" (Rolling Eyes) but the stadiums, crowd and environments are "current gen" (current... maybe in 2002 Rolling Eyes).

A while since I played the PC version but I thought it played pretty much like the PS2 one, and nothing like the 360 one. (edit: think I'm thinking of the years before Pro Evo, never mind)

Considering 'next gen' is now 3 years old, you'd think they'd make a half decent attempt at it on the PC, especially FIFA games.

There's to much talk about graphics when PES it's all about gameplay. Even 2008 was better than FIFA's PC version.

Players will be able to select fully licensed Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Barcelona club teams, or the licensed Italian or French national sides. The demo will allow users an early taste of the all-new elements set to further bolster PES 2009’s reputation as the definitive football game. All new visuals with completely remodeled players and animations, and new physics routines to ensure the ball behaves more realistically have been included, while the AI of the CPU sides has been enhanced to provide an ever evolving challenge.

The PES 2009 demo will also include promotional videos detailing the new game’s ‘Become a Legend’ and online ‘Legends’ modes, which see the player controlling just one player within a team and attempting to forge a career in football. Starting as a promising 17-year-old, players must force their way into the first team and produce a series of blistering performances which will ultimately result to a move to one of Europe’s biggest sides. Or, on the flipside, poor performances can see a player struggling in the lower leagues and eventually being released…

put ML difficulty to the easiest Razz The game still remains on Top Player but they don't get tired as much. And you should rotate players alot.

It's good to have like team 1 and team 2 in your squad, play team 1 for couple of games then team 2 so the others can rest etc.

Is there any word on how many seasons this mode will be? It's the one thing that I enjoyed about FIFA08 and 09 (judging from the demo, it's very much improved) but they only offer 4 seasons. Sad Hope it will let you play untill you want to retire. Very Happy

Did anybody heard something about a leaked demo version? Rumours means it's in the net since yesterday.
