from what i understand from you guys there is a new securom used in AITD from Atari...and some of you say it can't be cracked...i thought that nobody cracked AITD becouse Atari was low in money

lol? you think hackers/crackers care about publishers earning money? AITD can't be cracked because of the online activation thing or something.

apparently, it IS giving crackers a hard time. But i guess the activation can be rerouted to a local ip and start the authentication server locally or something...?

It took time before standard SecuROM 7.xx was cracked (And even now there's several re-released and "propers" over how it's cracked or when a check is missed.) so ofcourse it'll take a while for this new SecuROM+Online Verification protection to be fully reverse engineered but it'll happen eventually.
It's the same story with Starforce actually.
(V3 and V4 appears to be cracked quite fast but the later and more recent V5 appears pretty strong.)

sf v3 took a long while to be cracked too as i remember... Could be wrong i guess. Anyway, shouldn't this thread belong the the "copy protection" section of the forums?

lol. u get already some steam games full cracked? remember that when producers would to fuck piracy they make games that just need an internet connection to be downloaded, installed and to play. in this case game need an internet connection only to validate it and to be installed

I guess Steam is by far the best way to distribute games and protect em at the same time. Guess we'll see alot more Steam games in the future. Valve's got a goldmine with Steam.

btw, that's the reason why CPs MUST exist! ATARI can get the boost money (refer to my post in console area).
and that's just bullshit that gamers wont buy because of the protection. it's absolutely juvenile to read all this bash in official forums; but 99% of them still buy it. they're just pissed.

if all pc games soon will be out only on steam or in digital delivery download from other sites this is not matter and producers will protect them also from here obligating people to use internet connection piracy will die definitively and so only original version will be playable. this are the consequences

I play counter-strike source fully cracked with no problems what so ever.

i think that the only chance to get AITD cracked is that Atari will remove the activations limits and the DRM from the securom like 2k have done for bioshock. before is more difficult to get cracked. just is need wait some month and to hope.

Alone.In.The.Dark-iND
Instructions:
1. Copy the Keygen in The AITD 5 Folder to The Original .exe
2. Run keygen
3. Start the game
4. Use as Serial: *serial* from The Keygen And click Activate!
4.1 Now You you can see a Message: This serial number was used on too many computer!
5. Click acivate Manually
6. copy the activation request code!
7. Insert the activation request code on the keygen into The Free line
8. Close the ALONE IN THE DARK AKTIVATION!
9. Click Aktivate on the Keygen. Now, when the keygen close, the game activated.
10. Go To the KEYGEN FOLDER AND PRESS On securomkill.reg And press again Yes
11. Copy the ALONE.exe,The Paul.dll and the lang.ini from the KEYGEN FOLDER IN THE GAME FOLER!
12. START THE GAME!
ENJOY ALONE IN THE DARK 5 (2008)

sooo...actualy the real proble isn't the "new" securom but the online activation??but didn't bioshock had that sort of protection?and it was cracked
