You have to "Attach" the ME.exe to CE.
Then you can start searching for values etc.
Like I said, its easiest if you know the value. Like lets say you have a charisma of 101 for example, you do a search for that (101). Lock it and change the value, alt/tab back in game and see if charisma changed etc.
But it can be pretty tedious, believe me  .

Just thinking (I am late for work here, but I could not resist)
Lets presume health is 100 (full health no injuries etc)
Search for that, you will get a list of all code holding 100.
Now get injured somehow (maybe a grenade or in a firefight) Pause/alt-tab/Cheat engine.
Now look at those values in the list that held 100...see what have changed.
If one or more have changed, lock then change the value back to 100 ONE AT A TIME!!!!!.
Alt/tab back in game and see if your health is back.
If not repeat the procedure. DON'T FORGET TO UNLOCK!!!! the previous one if it did not work as it might otherwise crash the game.
You have to do this until you find it. Now, health might not be 100 .
But i strongly suspect it is.
EDIT: another prob will be to actually write the "hack" as the code line that hold the health value might change from each start of the game. And to find that is a pain the ass!. That means that you might have to repeat the above each time you play.
But BDts is pretty short so  .

An alternative to CE is Artmoney, which imo has a tad more intuitive GUI.

I'm sorry but you are acting like a 5 year old.
I 've been a non paying member of CH for many years until i decided it was well worth the Lifetime Membership where you have acess to all their work you have trainers made within 2 days of game launch and updates to the trainers with new features and for the new patches.

Maybe you could help Syco out then .
I had a quick look at it in Cheat engine and to find the health is pretty easy. The prob is that it is a floating address and will change each time you start up the game. I don't really feel like digging in to it and do a proper hack at the mo (TIME!!!!) but, if you want a fast and dirty health hack it takes about 2-3 min. |

Ok off to bed here but I think I have a 5 min to post a small tut as how to "crack" health (main character" using Cheat Engine)
1- Start the game and set the graphics to "WINDOWED MODE" (this will save you time as you will alt/tab from game to cheat tool. APPLY, the game should now be in windowed mode.
2-alt/tab and start Cheat Engine (you could have started this before the game). You see the icon in the most left corner looking like a PC with a magnifying glass, Hit that and you will see this.
Now select the Mass Effect.exe, hit ok. (this will attach the game .exe to Cheat Engine.
3-Now alt/tab back in game and hit "U", you will the see the stats of your character
In my case its "567" it will of course be different in your case, depending at what level you are with your character etc.
4-alt/tab out of game back to CE and in the "value" box set it up to "FLOAT"
like this
5-Now put in the value of your health, in my case it was "567" remember
and hit "First Scan"
6-You will see that the window to the right will fill up like this
These are addresses that holds the value of 567
7-Alt/tab back in game and get HURT!, throw a grenade or something to get your health down and watch the info screen "U". Now in my case I get this
"566".
8-Now put whatever value you have after getting hurt and hit "Next Scan" (this will search the values you did in the 1st scan for changes that correspond with your new value)
(same pic as above, but it shows that I found what i was looking for)
9-I found it after one search only ( could wary I guess)
10-Double click that line in Cheat Engine and you will get this window
I "froze" that and changed it to 2000
(you freeze by clicking/ticking the box in front of the address)
11-The result in game is this
As you can see my health is now 2000, and will stay at 2000 even if I get hit.
You have to do this for the Mako as well, and that's where i let your "imagination" step in. I did not find the Mako address for health when I tried this, but it should be the same thing. But you have to be in the Mako of course to find the address that holds it.
Hope this helped you a bit on the way to understand how this works, if not...read again from the beginning .

And usually it's not stored in a static memory address so you'll have to backtrack through all the pointers or just repeat the above steps everytime you close the game.

It's really very easy and quick once you get the routine down, it's not like the programs are hard to use or anything. I almost always use CE/Artmoney if I need to cheat.

Maybe you should think about writing a tut for CE. All the tuts ive found assume you understand ASM and shit.

maybe for the 360 version there is a chance to get BDTS and DLC contents for this or other games with the backup buying it with your ms point without get a ban? this is that i ask now. it's only 5$ (400 ms points) on the marketplace

Yes, it's possible. I own an original ME, but I also had a backup firsthand and the DLC worked fine on both .. and guess what? Yes, that's right, I'm STILL not banned.
iExtreme doesn't offer a GUARANTEED protection against being banned, but you really do need to stop going on about it. There hasn't been, according to my research, a single iExtreme ban yet.

Just ordered the game, too good to just leech this hidden gem. Can i download the patch and bring down the sky exp and play them on my excisting savegame? Im at the huge space station efter finding the beacon so i've just started playing. Im about 4 hours in the game.
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

If you need to cheat at this game then you should just retire from gaming. Hell, retire from life. The game is ridiculously easy. Roll a soldier, max immunity and a gun of your choice and never die. Ever.

So I bought the game today all excited about playing the "45 minute expansion".
Well I cant get the game to start, tried both vista and xp.
i start the launcher, klick on start and then nothing happens. Tried running the exe directly same problem.
Mind you this is the bought version with a working cd-key. I grabbed the bdts installation file, ran it but i get a message that installation cant validate my copy.
So here i am with the original in one hand and my dick in the other feeling like an idiot.
Funny thing is the game works when i replace the exe with a cracked one, so its the fucking securom protection thats causing the problem.
And then there is the drm which only allows the game to be installed 3 times and then your fucked.
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

Well, I decided to ignore the expansion for a while and went ahead with the normal quests. I had read that you can start BDTS before going to Ilos, so I thought I was safe.
I am now aftetr the first fight with Saren, you know back at the citadel, and without control of the normandy, will I be able to go to that fucking asteroid ? Cause the game seems to have put me in the final track to the ending (?) All conversation options I get are "We must go to Ilos NOW!"
Fuck Ilos, I wanna play the addon first, lolz. Plz tell me it's not too late !

The only solution to play Mass Effect patched or/and with BDTS is to buy the game. There isn't any crack out for these two puppies. And prob. there won't even ever be. |
