My neighbour just bought a brand new X360 Elite and we are wondering if we can flash it. Asking cause last year, it needed a chip to flash it.

It all depends on the drive. I've got an Elite and it came with the BenQ drive, flashable in minutes without even needing a Slax disk or ModeB adjustment.
