No good? Sad

ratings are an individual thing. just look at the retard who rated HBII 30% a few posts above Wink

Then you can call me a retard too kind sir.

HB2 is shit !
Even visually this wasn't mind blowing for me. Everything was lame about it. Story lame, characters lame. Guillermo del toro re-uses his pans labyrinth creatures.

Ugh

Well in this case I think it's justified. Wink

It isn't. Hellboy 2 was awful. Story was laughable, acting was bad (Luke Goss was amazing though). To me it felt too much like a teen comedy. The first had some laughs, but was overall serious. This one is just awful. Very disappointed. Yes, we all know Guillermo del Toro has an amazing imagination and creates beautiful worlds. That's not enough for me.

I really want to see Tropic Thunder. How is the humor of this movie compared to The Heartbreak Kid? Even though The Heartbreak Kid didn't have me laughing throughout the entire movie I still enjoyed it.

Ok here goes my latest French movie reviews Smile

Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain - 10/10
What can i say. The movie is simply wonderful and full of funny warm moments. A 100% must see!.

Angel A (2005) - 8/10
Luc Beson (Nikita, Le Grand Bleu, Leon etc)
Brilliant film about a scum bag that get another chance...due to a heard prayer.

Ne le dis à personne - 9/10
A guy gets framed for murdering his wife, psychological thriller with a twist!.

Wasabi (2001) - 7/10
Luc Beson (Produced by) action comedy with Jean Reno in Japan fighting the Yakuza. Not bad, but not great either. Leon was Reno's master role I guess.

Cache(2005) - 8/10
Psychological thriller about a guys past that comes back and haunts him.
Somehow reminds me of a early 70s film, maybe its the way it's filmed.

Un air de famille (1996) - 9/10
Dark comedy about a family that celebrates a birthday in a restaurant. In one evening and during one meal, family history, tensions, collective and separate grudges, delights, and memories both clash and coalesce.

Cheers to all you guys that gave me tips on these Smile.

Was recommended to see these by my French friend at work

La Haine (1995)
About the Paris suburbs

and

Assassin(s) (1997)
About a professional killer that is looking for a successor.

Will start looking for those 2 now.

have any of you guys/gals seen Intacto ?
28 weeks later (same director) was a pretty good sequel and Intacto has the same cinematographer as Brad Anderson's last two movie (The Machinist and Transsiberian) , which both look stunning

Tropic Thunder 6/10

If it hadn't been for Robert Downey Junior's part, the movie wouldn't have had much to offer. BUT. . . there were some side splitting moments.

The opening was GREAT and I was thinking if the whole movie was going to be like that, I was going to be in for some pain from laughing. There were 6 or 7 really old people behind us. . . I am talking like in their 70's. I dunno what they thought they were coming to see. . . but when the movie started one of the old ladies yelled, "Oh my God!" I about pissed myself.

Jack Black has one of the funniest lines about fellatio. . . I literally had tears streaming down my face. Typical Tenacious D type humor that you've heard before if you have watched their show that used to be on.

There were only a few funny parts for me though. The rest was just chuckling at Robert Downey junior. Worth seeing? Yeah. Go to a an early showing so you don't pay full price though.

In TO now there is only usually one price for going to see a movie ($11.95 +tax), no matter what time or day of the week :/

Yep saw it. Brilliant but well dark. I guess the riots from 2005 (Clichy sous Bois, Seine Saint Denis etc) where not just some freak event, not after seeing this film.

Hmm. I dunno then. I would still probably go see it with some buddies if I didn't have anything else to do and there wasn't anything else on that interested me. UNLESS, I had a home theater of some sort with big screen and descent sound (I do, but my friend told me it was a fantastic movie. it isn't FANTASTIC) . . . then i'd just wait for it to come out on DVD/warez.

Maybe one more to your to-watch list should be 'C'est arrivé près de chez vous'.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103905/

A documentarystyle fictive story about a serialkiller in Belgium. It's funny and with one of our best Belgian actors Benoît Poelvoorde. It's one of my all time favourit

Let me know if you liked it

yeah, we don't go to the movies unless it is something that needs to be seen on the big screen (lots of special effects and whatnot). Only been to see HBII, Wanted, Dark Knight and Hancock this summer...
