Yeah thats another problem, the console is constantly telling me stuff like wind.wav couldnt be found etc etc :S

Well i'm not sure if you actually ever been on a warez board, but since i'm missing all the links to ftp's and stuff, I can hardly say this is a warez board, only thing discussed here is the stuff that gets released and yes sometimes there are games that deserve your money and this happens to be one of those.

If you're where I'm thinking of, there should be a tunnel past the bridge you blew up. Yuo should be able to go in there. I think you have to move some barrells out of the way.

i went out and bought it on NOV 16th cuz i knew that groups would f**k it up with this game.
it's a shame with this release! normally a big game like this comes up the day it's released and gets scored a 9.5 but HL² got only 4.? and now the proper release got a 6.4 or so.
all you leechers, i can tell you, this is the one and only game being worth to buy in 5 years! ::::just install, then start - no probs::::

u must dodge all the lasers, jump over them or crawl under them
until je reach the other side of the room there u can shut down all the lasers. make use of your enviroment to dodge the lasers.

So, for everyone a short summary of the probs and fixes:
- AI and node problem: either use RVL (or similar) fix or add command lines to cfg file
- HUD problems: use HUD fix. This is also supposed to fix the AI and node problems, but some people say it does not fix it. So if it doesn't, see above.
- Elevator problem: also fixed by the HUD fix, but you might have to undo any changes to cfg file you made previously
I think that about sums it up, or do you have any other comments?

You have to get past that bit without touching any lasers. It's possible, but not easy.

Download Half.Life.2.EMPORiO.FIX-ape.rar and change client.dll in YOURHALFLIFE2DIRECTORY\hl2\bin with the new one in the .rar

Anyone have similar messages in their console on startup? If so, what does it mean and how do I stop them?
Unable to remove c:\program files\half-life 2\hl2\SAVE!
and
Can't use cheat cvars in multiplayer, unless the server has sv_cheats set to 1.

Heres how I got Counter Strike: Source working online from the Half-Life_2_READ_NFO-EMPORiO. (I don't think the emporio proper has the cstrike folder, so it won't work. Not sure about other releases but doubt they would have packed cstrike to save space).
Make a seperate steam account for this, especially if you have bought product via steam, as you don't want valve busting you and deleting your account! In case you don't know, go to www.steampowered.com and download steam. Just make an account and then remove steam from your start up + from running in memory etc.. you don't need to have steam running to play CSSource, just a username and password for steam.
Copy the entire "X:\XXXX\YourHalfLife2Folder\" To A duplicate folder called "CSSource" - If you don't, you will ruin half life 2 and not be able to play it anymore!!
Download Emporio's Update 5 for CSSource.
Apply the update to your duplicate folder (Copy the "files" folder in the archive straight over the files in your CSSource folder overwriting all files).
Copy the Online Crack over the files in your CSSource folder, again overwritting files.
Edit the steamapp.cfg.
Change these lines
SteamInstallPath="put your CSSource game folder here in inverted commas"
SteamAppUser=Put your steam username here without any inverted commas
SteamUserPassphrase="Put your steam password here with inverted commas"
The lack of inverted commas for the steam user is a bit inconsistent, but the way it has to be..
Now, put a shortcut on the desktop to "X:\YourCSSourceFolder\hl2.exe -steam -console -game cstrike" (without inverted commas).
Run the game, and if all goes well you will see steamengine start in a dos box with - engine started - revealed.. If that comes up, your in!
See you online...
So with all the HL2 fixes, plus this, you have a very close experience to the retail alternative, without the asshole activation bullshit!

Try saving the game while you are in the elevator, go to the console type ai_norebuildgraph 0 , reload game. when she getsa in elevator type in console ai_norebuildgraph 1.
