So they choose to use a shitty protection and then they cry about piracy. I feel kinda sorry for them, they are one of the last PC only developers and their game will be warezed to hell on release day. It's not like they already made tons of cash on consoles with this title, PC sales is all they got. *shrug* Embarassed

This whole piracy thing is blown way out of proportion, if you ask me. Publishers would have you believe that for every 1 retail sale, there are 10 downloads. This is preposterous. The gaming industry simply couldn't survive if it was like that. Period.

That's not all, the industry acts like we don't even own ONE legal copy, that we spread the games, sell em on the black market etc... Just pathetic. Like none of their employees owns a pirated piece of software... Wink

What is more annoying is that apparently every single download counts as a lost sale. Rolling Eyes

Not expecting much from this game, although would be nice if it could last at least few days...

Yep, that's always been my pet peeve with the whole "anti-piracy, oh noes, we've lost $55 billion in sales" nonsense.

A. They don't count digital sales. Ever. Just high-street.
B. They claim that every download is a lost sale. WTF? How does that logic work?

Oh come on cut the bullsh*t!
You got on this site because you want cra**d software, movies and games of course.
You wanna see when they are released and so on..

Now stop talk about other things and make yourself "saintly person" and wait for this game to come out by some scene group, just like anybody else, thanks you.

Does anyone know if the direct2drive games are protected? And if so, do they have the same protection that the retail store release would have?

Thanks

Well, it depends on expectations. Mine were almost close to ZERO. There was no "epic" story in sight, no "revolutionary" gameplay and no "breathtaking" graphics to look to. What else was left to expect? Another Diablo clone, set this time in space? Gas Powered Games should get the fuck over the Diablo-stlye (action RPG) games. It would be in their own interest.

I wasnt expecting much after playing the demo, the crappy camera and the lack of WASD controls was a real turnoff for me.

Was no WASD in DS2 so shouldn't be in this one. You should not expect shadowgrounds, it plays like DS2 in pretty much every single way.

What action shooter? It plays like DS2 and people call that an ActionRPG but not this game because it's in space? DS1/2 did NOT have deep dialogs etc. The only thing they had that this prob don't is lots of items.

I kinda liked the demo, it was enough for me. Also there are several co-op missions (in the final game of course) so it should be ok for a week with a friend. Don't expect SSiege will save the world of gaming.

Though i can't wait to get a final release of this game. Smile
