Glad to see I'm not the only one with the problem! How's your framerate in the game, zapaz? Makes me wonder if silky smooth performance is needed for the game to "catch" all the button presses.
MasterZ, this game works great with my PS2 controller. All the buttons are mapped correctly. The left trigger/right trigger buttons are mapped to the L2 and R2. A & B are buttons X & circle, and X & Y are square and triangle.

@ smithers.....great frame rate,only events i can play are 50m freestyle,25m pistol shooting,archery,3m diving,floor exercise and table tennis
ps do you need an original to have your name instead of unregistered?

Balancing in this game is great as well. Pressing Buttons is not manageable compared to "waggling" the stick

Lol, try Canoe, from 30 something gates I get through 2 with missing most of them completely. Left on left stick rows left, right on right stick rows right, both sticks down rows forward, then there is something for sharp turns...  unplayable.
This kind of games should have simplified controls, button A, button B, and directionals. You don't need 30 disciplines, each with unique controls that include 4 buttons, two analogue pads and 2 triggers. And it should have difficulties, to think that this kind of games are mostly bought by parents for their kids...

and if i think about, thats the stuff that makes me so pissed off, that i want to hurt somebody, not some egoshooter 
While playing Middle Dist. 1,500m in Summer Athletics i noticed that the computer cheats. Or at least im pretty sure he does.
Run full speed right off the bat, but get in the second place so youll make use of slipstreaming, then just run at max speed possible - which is almost full speed. Your opponent, your windshield, runs at the speed obviously and constantly the whole race... that guy has unlimited stamina

have had this game for a while on my hd so im gunna give it a try. considering i love the olympics and such.
Hopefully the controls wont be that bad. if they are decent, i might buy this one
