Someone says something I happen to agree with, and that makes me a "Yes" man?

Cool. You say something everyone thinks is stupid, so that makes you a muppet and a moron. Works for me Razz

For real? Aww shit. I didn't know either >_<

*resolves to stop feeding*

Anyway, on topic, regardless of what genre you want to class this game -- the demo was damned fun and I *will* be getting the full version come the end of this month. It was excellent and, even from what little I've seen in the demo, it's a credit to GPG.

SpaceSige (I know its an RPG at least its trying) is more poor than that low budget production called ShadowGrounds. Or maybe the demo was just poor? Anyway I'm very disappointed whit it. That is all.

The Dungeon Siege series always put me to sleep. I really tried my best to enjoy the game - but the game practically played itself. You clicked one button and you would auto-attack until the mobs were dead (same with your party members). To me it was more about picking up inventory and managing it then actually playing the game.

Haven't tried the demo - but I'll grab the full when it comes around to give it a go. Honestly not expecting much though.

Dungeon Siege 1 was go kill , buy stuff in a shop that you found on your way, kill repeat
Dungeon Siege 2 was go kill , go back to town(big tree) to sell , go kill , go back to town, kill , go back to town , o nice you unlocked new doors in the town , go kill , go back to town , o new soul ability go backtrack your ass around locations that bored you again with re-spawed monsters

the first was a clone of Diablo , the second was clone of Neverwinter , and this game is a clone of "Space Hack" http://spacehack.rebelmind.com/en/gallery

Guess he likes to steal ideas... oh wait they say reinvent now

I know this is kinda off topic but I was talking about the new space siege demo on another forum and I realised I played the demo of a good diablo sci fi clone a long time ago however I can't remember the name and no one on the other forum could either :/

Figured I could check here Razz It plays alot like diablo but in space and you kill aliens and such. Game is 2D and probably at least 7 years old. Could be one of those games that never got released.
Can't describe it much better im afraid appart from that you always seem to start out at this outpost/city where you can visit armory, medical facility, cybernetics station and some other place.

a bit more on topic now.... Anyone else than me who tried to download and install the demo had a problem with the installer hanging? Tried installing it twice, nothing came up and I had to reboot both times, gave up after that.

Seems more and more that the game I played never got released :/ shame if that's the case.

Great game, at least the parts you got to play in the demo surelly someone on the whole planet must have played the game ( or the demo) and remember it Razz

Its Alienshooter ^^

And there is a difference. You dont move by wasd. You just stand there while being shot.
Its impossible to move and shoot at the same time.

wasd movement was requested on their forums but I doubt it will be but in.

This game is totally like Alien Swarm mod for UT2004 (also coming in retail for the Source engine).

Also reminds me of a sci-fi version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and perhaps a 3D version of Crusader No Remorse.

I haven't seen Space Siege add anything new to the mix though.

Ah, but is that really a bad thing? Not every game can be "new" and "original" -- and all those listed games of yours are excellent Very Happy

Actually I checked out alien shooter and at first I thought that was the game I was looking for. However the game I played the demo of was not the same, it had tons more weapons than alien shooter 1 and before the missions you were in some kind of outpost/city where you could go to the armory, hospital, cybernetic place and so on. It's possibly they cut the city from the full version but I doubt they cut away so many weapons aswell as changed it soo much, it's just too much different from what I played.

Not being able to find out exactly what game I played is soo annoying maybe I should look trough all my old demo CDs from old PC magazines and see if I can find the correct one Razz

Also checked out alienshooter vengeance and it's not that game either, way too new anyway.
I played the demo at least 5 years ago so it's a rather old game.
