					| Grim Fandango.
Gotta say, if she doesn't like point-and-click, she's missing out on 99.99% of all adventure games.

					| If Farenheit is among her favorites (2 apparently) then we have a slight problem because there is no other game that's even close, and I wouldn't bet on something close to come anytime soon.
The way I look at it, Grim Fandango is a must for a fan of gaming -- genre doesn't apply, it's too good. But if you want to find some gems you need to take a lil' trip back in time...someone here should be able to come up with more titles than me, things like Indiana Jones and King's Quest..I know they're point & click but that's simply the majority of adventure games, in a way most point & click games today are victims of circumstance, because of just how well the old point & click games worked.

Also the original Longest Journey is in my opinion so much better...you gotta try it.

 Blame! don't act!

					| the cthulhu inspired sherlock holmes game was a 1st person adventure game (wsad)
i rather liked it, and was looking forward to the follow-up, which came earlier this year and was awful
there really aren't enough 1st person adventure games
that sherlock holmes was the only good one i've even played

beyond good and evil was a third person adventure-like game that seemed like ok quality.. didn't play far as the cutesyness of it didn't look good on my manhood
 *cough*

 also, try roleplaying games
 like vampire masquerade: bloodlines

for point and clicks i can't recommend sam & max episodes enough
first few episodes are a bit weak but every one is better than the previous - season 2 already being epic

No she doesn't. They aren't direct sequels.

Dream Fall isn't a direct sequel of the Longest Journey but still you must play it to get the whole story .
