I listen to pretty much all musical genres, everything from classical to rock, metal, jazz, elctronica, and even a bit of country. Only thing I don't listen much to is rap, and I try to avoid pop as much as possible.

Just wondering if anyone here into or listening to chillout, ambience, downbeat, or related genres - for instance psy, goa, vocal trance, et. al?

For example:
    - Astral Projection (, I like the Disco Valley Mix better tho')
    - Carbon Based Lifeforms ()
    - Coldplay ()
    - Delerium ()
    - Massive Attack (one of my all time favourites, )
    - The Thrillseekers ()
    - Zero 7 (, tnx to ceanth for the tips)
    - Blank & Jones ()
    - Cell (Asian Morning)
    - Conjure One ()
    - Synaesthesia (Dark Core)
    - Vibrasphere ()
    - Xerxes (Website)
    - Aes Dana ()
    - Audioplacid (feat. Demented Liquid - Enemy With No Face)
    - Ayla ()
    - Ayumi Hamasaki ()
    - Binah ()
    - Boards Of Canada ()
    - Drum Druid ()
    - Energy Del Mar ()
    - Ferry Corsten ()
    - Gargoyles ()
    - Guardner (Website)
    - Hallucinogen ()
    - Healer (Solar Panels)
    - Hemstock & Jennings (Mirage Of Hope (Chilled Mix))
    - Laurent Garnier ()
    - Luis Junior (Nobody)
    - M.I.K.E (Turn Out The Lights (Chillout Mix))
    - Planet Funk (Inside All The People (Harvery's Ibiza Sleepy Mix))
    - Rapid Eye ()
    - Solar Quest ()
    - Son Kite ()
    - The Extreme (Abstrakt Avenue)
    - The Realm (This Is Not A Breakdown (Chilled Mix))
    - The Spacebrothers ()
    - Three Drives ()
    - Leama (Melodica (Ambient Mix))
    - Zero Cult ()

And one of my favourites: Motorcycle ()

A few compilations:
    - @home @sunrise - compiled by Steve Levy
    - Breakdown - The Very Best Euphoric Chillout Mixes Vol. 2
    - Cell - Recorded Live At Fairy Tales (December 10th, 2005)
    - Digital Witchcraft - Proton Radio Mix
    - H.U.V.A. Network - Distances
    - Helix - Psymbiant9 - La Guitarra
    - Marco Torrance - World of Zilence (The Zilent Zpott Chillout Mix)
    - Module 02 - Selected by Tiya
    - Pure Mescaline - Psylocibin Mix
    - Rebel9 - From Amnesia With Love
    - Rebel9 - Pearls From Kandahar
    - Rebel9 - The Elysian Fields
    - Rebel9 - Voices of Eden
    - Rebel9 & arre - Swedish Chill Sound System
    - Xerxes - The Mirror Formula

I listen to www.swissgoove.ch on winamp while programming or studying. Really helps me focus, they play kind of chillout/lounge/jazz/groove mixture, I really love it.

Nice songs. Will check out that Kangding Ray a bit later. I like a few of BTs tunes where he isn't too "hip-hop", such as:

Here's a couple of more chillout tunes:

Entheogenic - Aranyanyara

(extreme chillout)

An extended list of my misc chillout archive:
 Spoiler:

Also, some more compilations I like to listen to from time to time (check out 'Go To Bed World' and 'Relax' especially):

Blank & Jones - Relax (edition one and two)
Chilled Out Euphoria - Mixed by Solar Stone
Deep & Chilled Euphoria - Mixed by Red Jerry
Go To Bed World - mixed by Xerxes
Psymeditation - compiled by Organic Records
Return To Cape Arcona - mixed by Marco Torrance

If you're into Biosphere I strongly suggest you take a look at Distant System too at distantsystem.com.

Click "output" and there are 4 min samples there. Astropolis are Outer Rim are definatley his best tracks if you ask me.

. Not the best one, but not too shabby Wink

EDIT: more spacey ambient!

DI.fm has a very nice chillout stream. Most of my misc stuff I just ripped from them using streamripper when subscribing to their premium service for a bit more quality.

i find violent songs relaxing to be honest. I can kinda release my agression through them so to speak. or when im feeling blue i like to throw a little alice in chains on and just deal with the feelings and I end up feeling better.
