and as for links, i have none. I am just relaying the commerical they have on the space channel when they have the commerical for SG:A Season 4 on dvd. They say voted best sci fi series of 2008 by somebody, cant remember who. I will watch for it the next time i see the commerical

They cant say, for example, X won 5 academy awards last year for best flim and such. |

No about Oscars, no, but they can make a fictitious poll and say that. Some people are impressed immediately after hearing "chosen" without caring much about who chose, that's who they're after anyway. Happens all the time around here, not with TV shows, but electronics, etc.

Anyone currently watching Season 5? And more specifically the last episode where Tyre turns Ronin in to the wraith then gets him back etc. My question is, wouldnt it have been better if Tyre joined the team rather than Telya rejoining the team?
I cant stand that bitch at all. The way she talks is so...i dont know the word to describe it, but its fucking annoying as anything.

her rack is ok I think
but her face is manish to say the least.
Ive always hated her to. Ive hoping they'd kill her off since the end of season 1. I thought last year at the end of season 4 that they were finally gunna kill her off (and Michael was gunna get the baby but then the atlantis people would get the baby and the father). |

I remember watching the first 2 seasons when they first started. She needed to die and not live on forever. |

Well, according to Ep 3 of Season 5 she's back on the team. Im hoping they kill her off and replace her with another person more like Ronin. He's a badass motherfucker and he looks the part too ya know? Like Teal'c on SG-1. They could do that and make the show totally kickass. Bring back Teal'c onto Sheppard's team so it'd be Sheppard, Mckay, Ronin and Teal'c. That would be a fuckin cool ass team. Telya is what, 4'9, 105lbs....in reality, she wouldnt be that much a threat to anyone (like they make her out to be)

I don't think they're going to kill her off any time soon because changing the composition of the team is not something they would risk after what happened with stargate. Also, she has that super-spooky, mysterious connection with the bad guys and her son is supposed to be the key or some shit like that.

they could kill her off and still have her son play a big role in the fight against the wraith. But he isnt going to be old enough for that kinda involvement for atleast 2 seasons. Unless somehow they justify skipping like 16 years in the matter of a few eps and or season |

happens a lot with books too. Ever notice that every second book is a best seller, but yet if you look close it is a nothing award. I can't think of any examples tho.
They film it in Vancouver. There is a big film crew at surrey place mall and I thought it might be them but I still don't know.

Yeah, Ive heard they do the filiming in vancouver. You should try and find out where, take your camera and get some pics of the atlantis gateroom area and such if its possible. that would be cool as fuck |

still, its wicked. try and get some pics for us stargate fans. I love seeing sets and shit like that then watching the show and seeing how real they make it all seem you know?
The gate is styrofoam? I thought would have atleast been metal. How do they make stryofoam spin and 'lock'? Animation or do they actually spin?

Well the gates I saw were not the main one inside the room so they didn't slide and lock. It was a scene with about 3 or 4 gates in it. I think it was the one that had Adam Baldwin in it. The weren't that big either and brown. I will go look for it if you want later. I am curious now too.
No security either, just one trailer was left because it was after they finished. I brought my camera the next and it was gone. Like it never existed.
