Since we kinda hijacked the "Alone in The Dark" thread, I decided to create an open topic here where people can discuss emulators and their experiences with them.
So, chat away!

The way I see is that emulated games are playable on the PC. Thus; PC-Gaming section. If i'm wrong, perhaps a mod could tell me?
Either way, I guess it can stay here for now.
FireMaster: As far as PSP emulators go, forget about it. Potemkin in the only working one -- and even that doesn't load commercial ISOs.

Try TWEWY, Ninja Gaiden DS, FF IV just to name a few. None of these work even close to what you could call playable. And these are some major DS titles.
C2D E6750 @ 3.2Ghz, 4GB 800MHz DDR2 4-4-4-12, GeForce GTX 260 c216 OC 896MB, 3.2TB, Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Xbox 360 Elite, PS2 Slim, Xbox

TWEWY and NG2 perhaps, but I'm playing FFIV just fine. It has a few text issues, but it's perfectly playable. Full speed and all, even during cutscenes.

GBA, snes, ds emulator and ps1 emulator works all fine with almost all games. there is only the ps2 emulator to improve cause here not all games are working and then missing a steam platform emulator. pacsteam or steambuster are the only avayable at this time but them sucks both anyway. maybe there will be the time when a full functional emulator will be released where all games can be downloaded. just need to wait lol

Please don't bullshit me. It's not "a few" text issues. Text is unreadable, which makes this text heavy game unplayable.

latest no$gba is prettygood at emulating NDS , but usualy the sound stuttering along with some graphic bugs dont make it enjoyable.

@ Nui
cause i think that steam is not possible to emulate and also not possible to crack. look lost planet HATRED. it don't work anymore at this time. Valve are not here to make fuck himself from no one and they go to update their platform abitually so how is possible to patch it or to get a functional emulator? to make a working emulator is need to update it at the same way like Valve do. anyway i haved already told this things.

I know what you are trying to say, since you said it over 9000 times thus i "had" to read it over 9000 times, so ... stop writing that already, pretty pretty please?

O Rly? Who needs to bullshit when they've got SCREENSHOTS?
There is a single text issue .. and that's the name of the speaker stays on screen and the enemy info text sometimes wraps over itself (lower screen text, NONESSENTIAL!!!!!!) Name-entry screens are also blank, but again, NON-ESSENTIAL.
Here's the rest to prove how completely playable it is. I've been playing for over an hour and it's FINE!.
Ignore the last framerate count, it was a spike as I took the screenie.

game looks horrible, cant they just stay at far better 2D graphics? well, anyway... could your zooming app have fixed this error by any chance?

No, because it just doubles the screen-size and adds filter effects, if needed. I don't use the filter effects as, on 3D games, it slows the emulator down.
Personally? I don't think it looks horrible at all.. especially not compared to the 2D origins.

erh, last time i checked was just some years ago. Just looked at Crysis Core, so ill have to take that back
FireMaster wrote: | PSP graphics can get just as good as PS2 graphics and for a mobile device that's amazing | I just dont look at it that way. I almost compare it to PC Game graphics at super low resolution.
I just hate pathetic 3D graphics when they dont really serve a point, like in a RPG. Mario 64 needed the 3D environment to get what it was, but FF IV just doesnt need that.

of course it's super low resolution , it's a small screen
but still for a mobile device graphics are pretty amazing

Of course FFIV doesn't need 3D. But it also doesn't HURT to have it, remember.
