Oh yes snus rocks! I'd be smoking so much if it weren't for those little bags of joy. If the EU tries to ban it in sweden again I'm moving to norway so fast I'd get my own thread in world news (Man moves faster than previously thought possible - "Man that was faaaaast", says expert).

I agree with Syco on his original post. That cop is a moron.
Why?
They outright lied. How do you expect a kid to react when they find out that a Police officer, paid to uphold the law, and be a piller of the community lied outright?
How do you expect that child to trust society when a fucking Cop lied like that?
This topic inst about if syco should smoke, or if smokers should be covered by heath care. Its about a Moron Cop, that IMHO should be reprimanded for there bullshit behavior.
That cop did nothing to try and stop smoking, and possibly increased the chances of those kids smoking. If a cop lied, who else is lieing?

Same thing here.. self righteous cops lying because they somehow feel it's part of their job description to scare kids into behaving.
Leave it to the experts.. the priests. |
The priests? I dont want my niece and nephews raped during confession lol

I had dinner with 5 teachers the other day and I told them about this. They felt that if the police said that syco was going to die from smoking within the year they would wait til the cop was out of the door. Then they would correct what was said.
They all said tho that unless you were in the classroom yourself you don't know what was said. One thing for sure is that they all agreed that it was a bad teaching technique to lie or tell mistruths which is the point that sy is trying to make.
I would at least speak to the teacher and ask their opinion of what happened before you start complaining to the police. If you are still going to do that.
Off topic
I got my first speeding ticket in a speed trap. I know they are there too during the day too. It is just off the Patullo (bc scary bridge) They flag you over and write up the ticket without talking to you. Anyway he said something about a discount. I thought he was talking about paying early and you get money off. Anyway after reading it over several times I realized that I was in a higher tier and he bumped me down one. I think it was because I said nothing. I was surprised.

This is still ongoing? I would have to say without someone to back up what was said, there is nothing to be upset about, other than someone became upset. Instead of being upset about what happened, make it a postive.
Go to the daycare or whatever it is, ask what happened, explain that "even if" your neice misunderstood the message being sent that it is still something they should provide as feed back to DARE. Because if kids are not understanding they need to take a different approach to their educational methods, and "if" they are straightforwardly lying an adult stating this to the daycare will force them to be careful before inviting them back. Perhaps even talk to some parents to confirm what happened, or even so they can ask their children what they "learned"
Just a thought, but my brain has been working overtime.
Read not to contradict and confute, nor to believe and take for granted, but to weigh and consider.
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
In all your remembering, remember that you have choices

I told my brother about it and let him handle it. It is his kid you know? I know he spoke to the teacher but other than that, i dont know if he pursued the matter. He did correct the problem and informed my niece that while its not healthy to smoke, im not going to die for many many years so she doesnt have to worry.
And cancer isnt something that runs in my family. The only thing that runs in my family is diabetes but not the kind where you need insulin shots. The other kinda where all you have to do is take your blood sugar every day and be careful what you eat. My grandmother has had it since she was 60 and she's like 88 now (I think she's 88, could be older). She's dying of old age tho sadly
