Mutant Chronicles - 4/10
good attempt, but the cgi felt like something from Scifi Channel and brought imo down the rating quite alot. Very confusing story and the dialogs felt forced.

Mutant Chronicles - 6/10

i like the visual style, similar to Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. They could have had more than one type of mutant which would make it more interesting.

Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay.

I thought it was lame :/ Most of the good jokes were in the trailer, so almost nothing surprisingly funny was left for the movie Sad And they really just wanted to show some tits and boobies, nothing funny in here Sad

Harold and Kumar 2: i had high expectations for this (maybe too high) and it wasn't bad, but not great either. The first one was much better.

Mutant Chronicles - 3/10.

Terrible CGI. In the start the Mutants could rip everything apart and then later on they suddenly became mindless zombies walking in to imminent death.
Some pretty lame continuity goofs and Devon Aoki was in particular bad in the acting department.
And the color scheme was just poor.
The only good thing, imo, was Ron Perlmans pronounciation of the word "man". Very Happy

Golden Compass - 9/10

Omg I loved this movie! It was not perfect so 9/10 but I totally enjoyed it. Im a big fan of the artist who worked on it, Linda Bergkvist; and it was amazing to see her characters brought to life Very Happy

Highly recommended, great CGI too.

Ok, it was really stupid and Justin Timberlake was in it. Lots of funny but stupid humor. Advice: have a beer or 2 before watching Razz

If I didn't knew for a fact that Hitler was dead I would say that it was him in the movie.

Mutant Chronicles - 5/10

As noted above, the colour schemes looked very weird though I loved the retro/future combination. Reminded me of this
Quote:
"I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." Albert Einstein

Lol @ industrial revolution era type steam-belching aircraft. Very Happy The pace of the movie felt rushed because they tried to fit so much story and characters (most of them undeveloped) into it. Didn't care for all the long camera shots either. Story had a lot of good elements like a world ruled by corporations, first warring and then uniting against a common enemy.

How many movies does that make where Sean Pertwee's character dies? Didn't spoiler that because if you know who I am talking about then you probably know/expect/suspect that he's not going to make it. Razz

Just rewatched The End Of Evangelion and the sense of completness and perfection I had when I watched it for the first time wasn't shattered at all, this is indeed one of the best exhibitions of cinematic art I have ever seen.

One thing I don't understand is the following, The series rating is superb everywhere, but why is the movie so badly rated and so criticized?

I mean, I've watched the series and the movies and I got to say, The End of Evangelion is the crowning achievment of the series.

why does so many people hate it?

Hellboy II - 9/10 ... thought this was really good. Loved all the creatures and how this felt more like a fantasy movie as opposed to a standard superhero movie.

Wanted - 6/10 ... some nice action scenes, but fuck the story was complete laughable shit. Also the "acting" was shit as well. Disappointing to say the least. Not worth the $12 imo.

want the real story then go read the blood filled comic

"Wanted is a film very loosely based on the comic that was released in June 2008. It was directed by Timur Bekmambetov and starred James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman. The film focuses on a league of righteous assassins rather than super-nazi villains."

The Happening 7/10 - Strange movie, is it tribute to some 40´s or 50´s movie, cause it feels so strange and different than his other films. Or is it only shitty because he cant make good movies anymore...mixed feelings.
